First-time Home Buying

Yay!!!! Honestly don't run too far from an HOA, they're a pain but not worth losing a good house over. Ours is pretty decent. My moms was awful but since the Feds have started investigating HOA scams carefully hers is extremely less annoying. ;) Do avoid short sales though, they're riddled with hear...

Re: Feeding Raw

I started Apollo on RAW, I got some heart and liver for him. How do you cut it up? Does it bleed all over? Cut up both of those items when they are mostly frozen. MUCH easier and less messy. Have you been reading b/c neither heart nor liver are appropriate "starter" foods. I suggest chick...

Re: Not again :(

:( It's okay to vent to friends about money issues, it's super frustrating when vet bills come and money is already tight. I currently have 500 dollars in care credit looming over my head and it really, really sucks. I'm sorry some jump to the worst, I'm glad Boss is doing better already. I found th...

Re: Good Lord, anything else at this time?

If our community had a suitable home for Zoey I would agree whole heartedly that the knee shouldn't be the end but heart breakingly mtlu is right, the money is not the hardest part.

Re: Temperament - venting

Not in rescue but at my training facility we get a few each session. Right now we have a little lab/collie/something that is fearfully aggressive and it's tiny. It shouldn't be this way, it's unfair and makes your stomach turn. Never should a tiny, baby, cute puppy lash out and bite repeatedly with ...

Re: Entertaining a bed-rest dog wearing an ecollar.

What, Adrienne, the dogs are tired of your stand up. Maybe you need new material. Kidding. No tips but I'm sorry he's injured. Obi on bed rest is the worst Dino can definitely sympathize. lol Thanks. And thank you for all the tips. We're sticking with the hard cone and he's figuring (through frustr...

Re: Weird Behavior

Read up on TMJ. It happens in GSDs a lot. Interesting... I've not heard of that! Celeste, I only ask because two of my dogs are on rimydal (Shamoo for her inoperable knee and Backup while his wrist wound heals + antibiotics to actively heal it) but it doesn't solve anything, it's just to make the e...
