Re: The Cost of Feeding Raw?

I feed partial raw. I feed a lot of big raw meaty bones, chicken backs, etc. When I find them cheap I buy every single one they have and they stuff them in my freezer. Denis and I plan to buy a chest freezer when we move to assist in storage and hopefully go back to a more so total raw menu. It is t...

Microchip concern: Have I done enough?

Backups chip is down the arm, almost in the armpit and it is a very long number done by the breeder and many scanners miss it. We've considered rechipping him so not one misses it if he's scanned.

Help! Puppy period question

If you PM me your location I can try to help you find a vet, I live in las Vegas. I agree it shouldn't smell, unless you're extremely sensitive, and a vet visit is really a good idea.

Re: Is there hope for harmony after a fight?

In my experience there is hope for supervised harmony but that really depends on the dogs, the owners level of education, and the dedication of the entire household.

Beyond that crate and rotate, as said above, can be a wonderful choice for the right household as well.

Re: Should we euthanize our pit bulls?

Who are any of you to state your opinion so bluntly as if you know our situation, our dogs, or our lives? Shame on you. I'm very sorry for your loss but in all fairness you came here and asked for the opinions of the forum. I am sorry they didn't match what you were looking for. I do hope you stick...

Re: Carpet licking

Hannah, our rat terrier, used to pluck the carpet, single strand by strand. She would obsessively do this and then throw up the strands. If we covered the spot she would re-start in another. Eventually my mom removed the carpet and she never found another place to obsessively groom/pluck. She too wa...

Re: What's the correct Hight for a Sringpole ?

I use my spring pole for my malinois, not my pit bulls, generally but I tend to allow them to both hang and stand and pull. My male malinois loves to jump and swing. As a rule though I would encourage some feet on the ground.

Re: Bully Max......&...... Blue Buffalo

Sigh, I loved blue for my dogs but the cost killed us. I fed only the grain free as well. However, TOTW is a huge fav for people and my dogs all looked, smelled, and felt gross on it so it's possible some feeds - even good ones - aren't for every dog. Maybe try another food if the vet checks out as ...
