Re: Won't potty away from the house

What's curious is that if there are other dogs around that there is no attempt at marking behavior at a minimum... I agree, especially because she can be quite the bully "I'm the queen" dog around here. This is going to sounds crazy pants but could you have the owners bring you some used ...

Re: Won't potty away from the house

She's pooped here once, at work, but I think she was a bit sick that day because she seemed to have trouble holding it and it wasn't the best consistency. That was the only time in months though and she's never, ever peed. :-/ She plays a lot and loves to drink water. I suppose though I could push m...

Won't potty away from the house

I have a client with an almost 1 year old female lab that won't potty outside of her house. When she goes to the park the dog will follow other dogs, sniff, etc, but holds everything until she gets home. She comes to Bootcamp at my work and will sometimes stay from 7 am til 6 pm and still not potty ...

Re: Dock Diving 101

That about covers it for me. Plus extra money. Our first couple times we would go to jump twice but once the dogs got jumping we'd pay in and jump all day. Nat'ls was the first time we restrained ourselves and Backup jumped his PB and won his class so maybe the advice is don't buy in too many waves,...

Tucker doesn't like kibble ...

I feed THK and Grandma Lucy, for 4 dogs these both last 1 week for me when fed alone. I didn't catch the whole thread (it's early lol) but I soak my kibble in warm water and often add table scraps for fun. That could help excite a picky eater? Eta I also have wellness core and my dogs seem to be wil...

Re: Article on Drive by Suzanne Clothier

Actually I am referring to the more chaotic, lacking in steering, and having more drive than comfort in shaping a dog is the harder they are to work with.

Re: Article on Drive by Suzanne Clothier

I really liked this personally as I've seen it a lot on different forums and in person. I've seen excellent dogs whom were very clear headed and great workers get called low quality due to "lack of drive" or in reality just lack of unbalanced craziness. (Not saying that an unbalanced dog ...

Re: Anyone knows what happened to petesdoggear.com?

I actually do not agree that Noel is the singular reason Rebecca left. She made a choice to leave several forums that she and I both attended regularly over from what I can assume is copyright infringement and collar making dramatics. Wrong or right I wouldn't place all the blame of Rebecca leaving ...

Re: Am I seeing things?

I'd lean towards the back with his structure but Shamoo has trouble with her back legs, particularly her knee. I see those same straining movements and hesitations when she climbs on the couch and up the stairs.

Re: Am I seeing things?

I'm no expert but he looks very similar to Shamoo, my old lady, in the way he moves. Poor dude, could it be some arthritis?

Re: Arnold and some weave poles

Thanks! I used them in a more traditional way for the malinois but this works nicely for Arnold. :)

Arnold and some weave poles

I have no real intensions of going to trial with Arnold but over the last week we've been playing with learning his weaves. He's a smart cookie! :D

Re: Anyone knows what happened to petesdoggear.com?

 I'm sorry. She's still posting regularly on her personal FB page about life and what not so she should have plenty of time to check in with paying customers, no?

Re: Altering the sex and effects on fearful behaviors

Thank you guys, I am sure it's probably improbable to do real research on it. It's an interesting concept.
