Re: Recall, Kirkland and Taste of the Wild

I was genuinely asking to please show me where Diamond has killed a dog, because I have not seen or looked up anything on past recalls. If you thought it was me being sarcastic, I'm sorry that you interpreted it incorrectly. This recent recall though, did not result in the death of any dogs. Well n...

Re: Recall, Kirkland and Taste of the Wild

I think the point of my post has been lost. The food based on ingredients seems fine, THE COMPANY THAT MAKES THEM IS KILLING PETS Diamond is killing cats and dogs, making humans sick and its not the first time. Its when that is apparent and people STILL want to feed the food because its the best the...

Re: Recall, Kirkland and Taste of the Wild

You don't get a great food with any decent quality protein for $30 for 40lbs......thats like 20 cents a lb cost to make ( and thats being really generous!)..what do you really think you are going to get for 20 cents? The packaging costs more than the food!!! Agreed. I am feeding Horizon Legacy and ...

Re: Recall, Kirkland and Taste of the Wild

I cant believe how many people are STILL going to feed food made by a company that has had several recalls. That has killed/sickened pets http://www.truthaboutpetfood.com/articles/the-plot-thickens-clues-to-big-issues.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; And if there has been animal ...

Re: Go! Natural Salmon and Oatmeal - recipe change

Interesting concept, but I cant imagine peas and lentils are any easier to digest than any other carb.....I do like the low glycemic index, and they make their own food which is a prerequisite for me. No recalls ever, another prereq I like the company, decent ingredients, great price point. A little...

I'd also look at digestive enzymes and probiotics to maximize what he gets out of his food.

Re: Go! Natural Salmon and Oatmeal - recipe change

Natures Variety has used china rabbit for their frozen food. And has had recalls Natures Logic is an awesome food. The have a venison and millet They make their own kibble, no artificial ingredients (like vitamin premix) and use whole foods instead. Millet has no sugar and all my diabetic clients do...

Re: Recall, Kirkland and Taste of the Wild

Acana Pacifica is a fish only and potato diet..less $ and less protein than Orijen, made by same company in THEIR OWN PLANT!!!
I only sell 4 kibbles in my store and they have to have no recalls, make their own food, and be of excellent quality.
Acana is one of them

Re: Go! Natural Salmon and Oatmeal - recipe change

They've done things to the duck formula as well....adding an ancient grain with gluten in it.
Several poepl I know ( some breeder with whole litters with problems) are very upset and have switched to acana duck and pear

Re: I THINK SOCKS HAS KENNEL COUGH....

Actually Kennel Cough is a virus and doesn't respond to antibiotics. They should only be given when infection is suspected.

A good cough suppressant is a must tho. Glad to hear he's getting better

Re: Raw Food for $1.28 a pound in the Southeast US

I would never feed Natures Variety. They sourced their rabbit from china. I add bee pollen and kelp. I use max 15% veg...one of my dogs has IBD and more aggravates it. I also like an omega fish oil. I prefer single source supplements as you have more control. There are some decent pet specific multi...

Re: Sorghum & Millet in dog food?

Millet is fine. It has zero discernible sugars, and I prefer it over potato and sweet potato.

Natures Logic uses millet and has been great for many of my diabetic clients.

It does seem carb heavy to me.
