Re: Cancer Treatment Experiences

I'm so sorry, that is awful news! I'm glad the Fuzzy C-Dog looks happy and sound right now, and that he continues to be so for a very long time. He's one of my fav honorary pit bulls.

 awesome! Thanks for helping this pretty baby :inlove: And her babies :inlove: :inlove:

I'm curious though, how come she was not spayed during the C-section? (I'm not being critical, I'm just wondering)

Re: Compassion Fatigue

I have had to deal with and work through compassion fatigue in shelter and AC, and even to some extent in general practice. I never had any courses or info available to me, I'd never heard of it until a friend said she thought that was why I wasn't sleeping and why I was being so negative. It sucks....

Re: Tully at the Chinese medicine vet

I thought I'd posted here and now it's gone...or maybe I was dreaming. lol I used to think TCVM was bollocks. I tried it with Ruadh just because I had easy, cheap access to it at one point, and so many people around me were saying they saw great results in their animals. There is absolutely no denyi...

Re: Please think of her

Not completely, Val. You made her immortal. I know I have the image of a strong, beautiful, and loved bulldog imprinted in my mind forever, and I'm sure others do as well.

Rest well, Tigger.

Re: Please think of her

I wish so much that I had the words to help ease this pain but they don't exist. All I can do is send my love to you both, sit here and cry for you, and hope. I'm doing all three.

Re: Fed up with anal glands

I had Ruadh's removed when he was 5 and my only regret is not doing it when he was 2. Chronic AG issues hurt, even if the dog is stoic about it. Ruadh was differnt dog after. I can't imagine that it feels good to have them expressed, either. Like a REALLY bad zit, only much worse, and right on your...

Re: Vet conundrum- suggestions

Also, food trials should be a minimum of three months... I've had 4 vets tell me to do 6 weeks. Used to be, but dermatologists and internal med vets I've worked with in recent years are moving to the 3 month trials. As for the neuter, there's variables. Maybe the vet effed up, maybe the dog has a c...
