Re: Transitioning from an inside to outside dog

Pen = containment. Pin = something you stick something with. Not saying you don't love your dogs. I am saying you don't do right by them. There's a difference. I don't know what the "other reasons" for not being able to have the dogs included in the family are, but I would seek to address ...

Re: Transitioning from an inside to outside dog

400 sq ft home (yes, hundred, not thousand, not a typo) with two dogs & two cats.

Very little is impossible if you want it.

Re: Sit means Sit?

Some wench in Central FL was advertising on FB. She starts pups on e-collars at 8 wks. She also breeds Labs & GSDs, and sends home collars with them. :yucky:

I don't have one to give up, but the harness I got from BBD is really nice.

Re: Sit means Sit?

The saddest thing in the vids Red posted to me is how the dogs, at the start, are all desperately turning to their owners for guidance and reassurance and getting none. At the end, the dogs aren't turning to their owners anymore. :(

Re: Anyone knows what happened to petesdoggear.com?

I emailed a few times a while back about a little leather harness. No reply, and I tried different addresses in case of junk filters. Gave up. :dunno:

Re: What kind of collar do you use for a dog that pulls?

Prongs can hurt a dog even if properly fitted. Then I start weening them down off of it by making it looser and looser until I'm not even using it anymore. If you are talking about loosening the prong collar itself, that is a very, very bad idea. When on the prong collar should always be properly f...

Re: Old World Desinged Collars

If I had a mastiff or a big flock guardian I'd love one of those.

Although that pink one...that ring looks suspiciously like a drawer pull. lol

Re: Breedfreak pet costs calculator

The calculator is cool! The breed list sucks! :crybaby: Regardless, it's a good find. I wish people would look at the big picture like that. Mine was funny since I get so much vet care for free, but my classes and collar habit make up for it  And as for calling mixes/mutts Designer or Fancy ...

Re: good dog beds

I have a hand-me-down Kuranda, aluminum and pcv, it's awesome. I'm the third owner and it's with it's 9th, 10th, & 11th dogs as each prior home had multiple users. Awesome product.

Re: Annoying vets, leaky puppy butt, and diet/raw feeding

Those foods wouldn't be meant as long term feeding if you so chose. They are made to target a problem. And as far as allergies/sensitivities, the likelihood of them in such a young pup are negligible at best. Typically those are issues that take time to develop. If I had a puppy that was having diar...

Re: Parvo recovery-what can i expect?

This breeder sounds like a real winner. :( Already wanting to breed an untitled, unproven dog who quite likely contracted a preventable disease due to his oversight. Regardless, im glad she is on the mend and out of those hands. that is cheap for parvo tx! Jeebus! I can't help but wonder though, sin...

No offense, but Allison isn't the one making you look like anything. Her reply was quite reasonable in context, and contained sound advice.
