Re: Blu has developed a barking habit with select visitors

Did you read that link? It talks about keeping the alarm barking. I allow and encourage my dogs to tell me what's going on around the house.

Little dog heeling position help

Bowie is really coming along very nicely but I'm having one problem fine tuning something. When he is sitting in heel position, he always tilts so he can see me. (He is very short, I'm tallish.) Likewise when we move forward, he wants to arch away a little bit when he's giving me eye contact. How ca...

Re: Blu has developed a barking habit with select visitors

I once had a very barky foster, he did what you're describing, and I used the attached premise to get him to STFU. It took a lot of patience and effort but it did work.

Ah lordy! those are the best ears! :inlove:

I must say the attention deaf dogs give is just stellar. I've enjoyed working with every one I've encountered, they've taught me so much :))

Re: Need Serious Help

This may sound weird, but could you post a pic of the closet with Mischa in it for a size perspective. I used to have a closet that was like a whole separate room, but most studios have small ones. What about putting the crate in there but not closing the closet door? Can you use an X-pen around the ...

Re: Need Serious Help

Don't take this the wrong way but are you for real? Because this sounds a bit fantastic even for a newbie pit bull owner.

Ears getting stapled. Dog in a closet. ???

Pardon my mistaking you for a troll if I am wrong, but surely you must see why one would think it?

Re: Need Serious Help

You do realize that Koehler used a very now outdated and extremely harsh style of physical punishment training, right? If your new dog is already a little nervous, a heavy hand isn't the way to earn trust. Koehler dogs are the best dogs. Just my opinion. His method is SO misunderstood nowadays. I w...

Re: HA Potential? *video

I have no idea why she has this behaviour. Probably was abused by a man before.. :crybaby: Honestly, I don't think she would ever bite a human and am not afraid of her in anyway. . Why does everyone point to abuse as an excuse? It is just as, if not more likely, that she was not properly socialized...

Re: Tully at the Chinese medicine vet

I thought I'd posted here and now it's gone...or maybe I was dreaming. lol I used to think TCVM was bollocks. I tried it with Ruadh just because I had easy, cheap access to it at one point, and so many people around me were saying they saw great results in their animals. There is absolutely no denyi...
