Hey Red! it is latex and positioned to allow gravity to assist in the draining. I increased his incentive to peanut butter and that certainly seems to make treatments more palatable to him. :)) It has been really nice to hear from all of you.

I'm beginning to think that the whole "no touch" principle woul dhave been a good one. I went with a quick rinse, no squeeze and sent him along with a cookie. Yes it will be interesting to hear what the vet ahs to say, it was a tech that advised me to squeeze, eek. I realized I also forgot...

thank you for the response. what an icky story. Of course I forgot the part about why I feel so bad, there was no MCT there. I just keep telling myself that I made the decision to cut wide margins from a "good place" of avoiding a repeat surgery but alas, I'm still bummed out. I try and th...

drains and wound care

So i did a search and can't find exactly what I'm looking for. Mostly I just feel incredibly badly for subjecting my baby Arlo to such things. the history Arlo has a history of Mast Cell Cancer dating back over 5 years (grade 2 lumps traditionally). Of the available treatment options, one cla...

HHK- do you have an update on this pretty girl? I know you don't visit here often but I am headed your way next week and would love to pick your brain a bit about that shelter.

I had to have a good loud blubber over this dog and this situation. It's just all so f-ked up. us too. dammit. As for this belief: Had she been identified as Galaxy Kennel's dog, I'm fairly certain she would have gotten her immediately. Unfortunately I don't share your confidence. this is after all...

Not making assumptions about a persons internal thoughts is grand, turning a blind eye to physical evidence is just plain silly. Not everyone is euth-ing thier puppies, this means we wade through thousands of helpless faces each year. The piece about assessing "where you been?" is huge and...

X girl- a year? really! seems a skin condition should be pretty well (perfectly) cleared, unless of course thats the old "post a tragic picture and get donations" trick.

Thanks Sam!!! I sent you an email. Diane- I will be in Sac, well, until I get another job, find free/cheap housing elsewhere or both. But I expect the real question is: How long will Annie be in Sac? Annie will be here up until the point that she has a viable option (and ride!) elsewhere between now...

Sporty, fun and TINY!! Annie...

She started out as Annie the Enigma , me scratching my head at why this seemingly 12-week puppy had a full set of adult teeth (yeah, complete with the ones that don't come in until 7 months). The fine folks right here at PBF (and later confirmed by vet) said, eeerrrr, we think she's APBT/JRT at whic...
