Re: When does training turn to abuse?
Lastly, the "whatever works" camp – achieving results is the endpoint; compliance from the dog is ultimate goal. IMO, this mindset also contributes to inability to see what is abuse and what is training because the focus is on compliance from the dog, not the learning process that the tra...

Re: Flexi Leads...whats soo bad about em?
I have had burns and scars on both of my legs from two different neighbors walking a total of 5 small dogs on Flexi leashes! The dogs ran to see me and got all tangled/twisted around my legs,( while stoopid owner was trying to wheel them , they were still twisted around my legs) . It does hurt when ...

Re: Can we make this a trend?
Nosework uses red bandannas for 'give this dog space'. I think red is better at conveying the 'stay away' message than yellow. When your out ridng horses, we use a red ribbon on a horses tail so everyine knows the horse needs space because it will kick if you come up too close to it. I think red is...

Re: Itchy butt

I have seen dogs, cats and horses all do that , probably lot of others do it as well. if you ever get the chance to watch them being born, pay attention how the mom will lick to stimulate them ...
