that is a stool softener, not laxative, so might take a l;tle longer then a day to work.
repeat the dose in 24 hours, if no poop after that, double the dose, (these were per vet instructions for my dog)
so give one per day for two days in a row, if no poop, up the dose to two a day

tryn a store like LOews or Home Depot(any lawn and gardenr sotre actually)
they sell stuff to use as an aid in detering them, you can make a perimeter around your yard with it and it will not harm your dog
dogs seem to enjoy poop eaitng of all kinds, cat, dog, deer, rabbit, horse, cow....
