Re: Thinkin' bout switchin' from Evo to Orijen

I've been very pleased with the Orijen fish formula. I have also fed Blue Wilderness (grain free) formulas in the last year, and my dogs have done well on it also. My girls are 10 years old so we do blood panels twice yearly and so far have seen no problems.

Re: Is there hope for harmony after a fight?

but once my dogs have fought like that -- like, really tried to hurt one another, not just have a scuffle or minor disagreement -- i have never felt comfortable allowing them off-leash access to one another again, even supervised I'm the same way, and I find that setting those boundaries greatly re...

Re: My boy diagnosed with Lymphoma

In my experience with lymphoma, it will get to a point (and it sounds like you are already there) when the prednisone will not be enough. In order to prolong the dog's life for any real length of time, you will need chemotherapy. After a diagnosis of lymphoma, my senior lab was able to live 2 qualit...

Re: Tucker doesn't like kibble ...

For my old, picky husky I used to cook ground turkey to mix in with her kibble. Not a whole lot, just enough to add flavor. I poured warm water over the mix to make it soft and gravy-ish, and she loved it.

He was lucky to have been loved by you for a time, and to be able to give all his love in return to someone who valued him.

Re: Chicken jerky treats from China

We're big fans of Wet Noses treats, been buying them for years. Made by a local small business in Washington with organic U.S. products. From their website: "Wet Noses are manufactured in Monroe, WA in a small, family run bakery. We source all our organic ingredients in the US and we do not imp...

I know what it's like to suddenly find yourself in a house that feels too quiet. I hope Sneaky is back home with you soon, driving you crazy. ;)

Re: Good quality orthopedic bed?

I have that bed, it's awesome! I originally purchased it a few years ago for my elderly lab who had bad arthritis and hip problems. She loved it and slept comfortably on it every night when she reached the point of not being able to get on and off the human bed. When she passed away this spring the ...

Re: Help me figure out what is going on

I was asleep so no clue what sparked it. Not sure if anyone has mentioned this, but from now on you should try to avoid letting the dogs interact when you can't have eagle eyes on them. If you're asleep or not home, the dogs should be separated. If they haven't been crate trained I strongly recomme...
