Re: Has any one used a dog supplement that contains glucosam

I've used Dasuquin (glucosamine/chondroitin) for years with my dogs and have always liked the results.

Re: How many think this is worth a laugh?

The video makes me want to cry. I think dogs smile as a result of stimulation, which can be negative or positive. I see it in Riley all the time when she's positively stimulated. She smiles in greeting - combined with yelping, a windmilling tail, and full body wag - when a member of the family comes...

Re: Poor Cookie - now her leg is swollen

Michelle, I just saw this. I'm so sorry about Cookie. :crybaby: Lymphoma took one of my girls in January, so I know what you're going through. You're in my thoughts.

Re: Cancer Treatment Experiences

I'm so sorry to hear about Caesar. He has long been one of my favorite dogs here at PBF. I dealt with osteosarcoma several years ago when my 16 year old husky was diagnosed in one of her front legs. It was decided that amputation was not an option for her due to her advanced age and other major heal...

Re: Tell me about CET chews

After buying the CET chews for a while I decided I didn't like them. Riley is normally a "bite and swallow" kind of eater so I figured the rawhide wouldn't be a good option for her, and I was right.... she'd chew just long enough to get it a little soggy then try to swallow it whole. After...

Re: Please think of her

Val, I'm so very sorry. Tigger was truly a lucky dog to be loved by you and your family. You made her life rich, and she yours, and you will always have that. I'm pretty much sobbing right now because I lost my own girl just a couple of days ago, and the pain is still so sharp. I know what you're fe...

Re: Fleas *sob!*

Aha! Sorry, answering my own question. Sentinel kills eggs, but it's oral not topical. So is there any real benefit to breaking the life cycle at egg stage rather than adult as the topicals do? I guess if the dog picks up new adult fleas outside the home, then those have to live out their normal lif...

Re: Fleas *sob!*

Don't any of the preventatives kill eggs before they are able to hatch?

Re: Innova Evo vs. Orijen???

My dogs are currently doing very well on Orijen (I alternate the fish and chicken formulas) after trying several other brands. No experience with EVO. As others have said, sometimes it's hit or miss.

Re: Im frustrated with Brie and Upset

It doesn't suck forever, and it's way better than the alternative. With more time you may start to think of new/creative ways to keep the dogs separated without feeling like they're so isolated. At some point you might consider training them how to behave with baby gates if you think that would be a...

Re: Veronica & her Nina Ottosson puzzle

She's so gentle with it! Did you have to teach her to handle it that way or was it natural? I have the same puzzle and the first time I gave it to my dogs they went completely stoopid - shoving it around with their noses, pawing frantically, grunting, whining, and generally freaking out. We had to p...
