You probably just need to take her outside to relieve herself more often. Puppies that young have tiny bladders and can't hold it for very long. Being so young and new to your home also means that she doesn't know yet how to tell you she needs to go. So, get her outside frequently, and make sure she...

Definitely need a crate! Stainless steel bowls are best (just switched Riley to them recently and she has much less skin irritation), but if you're determined to have something creative and cute, then you could probably go the ceramic route. Drs Foster and Smith has some nice, glazed ceramic bowls a...

I just got my sensesation harness; and I too was motivated by wanting to get rid of the prong. Veronica still has a ways to go in terms of learning leash manners (actually she's really very good unless some situation arises and she wants to go "there" while I'm going "here" :) )...

I recommend the glucosamine/chondroitin/MSM too. I have my two oldest dogs on Dasuquin (not cheap, but I get mine at discounted prices from http://www.petmedstore.com), and they're doing wonderfully on it, along with moderate exercise. Little to no limping, stiffness, or pain.

I just ordered a Sensation harness. The website looks pretty convincing, and lord knows we've tried just about everything else, so hopefully this will help.

Ketra, thanks so much for the offer, but Riley is about the same size as Gypsy around 60-62 lbs. So probably big for her too. I really appreciate it though!

Got my Ella's Lead today too!!! I LOVE it! The colors are so bright and pretty, and it's super strong and durable. Can't say enough about the customer service, which is always as important to me as the product itself. Thanks so much Becca! Pictures to follow soon. :))

Suggestions for good no-pull walking harness

I've been using a prong collar with Riley on walks, but it's not really working properly b/c she pulls like crazy against it no matter how uncomfortable it is for her, and it seems to be hindering our training efforts rather than helping. So I'd like to try a no-pull harness, see if she responds bet...

oooh, pit friend, please make sure to take pics of that collar as that is one of the MANY I drool over whenever I look at fabrics and I have to FIGHT not to order it for Ella. I also LOVE the citrus one I posted in my first post. It's the first fabric I posted. That collar is going to look GREAT wi...

Er, a little OT, but Lisa, is it possible to get that fabric pattern with the yellow background/pink flowers in a 1" collar? I'm having so much trouble making up my mind, but I love that one for my girl Rosie, and she's too little for 1.5". Zeldasmom - I think any of the brightly colored p...
