Mika went through a stage where she had what we so lovingly referred to as her "tweaked ear". Both ears flapped forward when she was little, and they are both "normal" now. Honestly, I miss her tweaked ear - it had character!

Mika is a terribly picky eater - even with treats! I add a little shredded cheese or a spoonful of cottage cheese to her food and she eats it good. She really likes cottage cheese.

You're certainly welcome. I've trained Mika so that when play gets rough, she knows what the word EASY in stern voice means. She knows that play will stop completely if she doesn't chill. I've also trained Mika to go to a down stay by telling her DOWN and WAIT. She'll wait in that position until she...

NEVER hit your dog! She's still a puppy, but sounds like she needs to learn what is acceptable during play and needs to learn her good girl manners. If she acts inappropriately, give her a stern NO and stop the game or play time immediately. If you haven't started playing yet, don't start. Make sur...

What do you mean by squeak? Like whining? If so, I had experience in this with Mika - especailly at the Vet or if we go for rides, when we stop or park somewhere...she would whine very loudly and constantly. She is much better now - when I say STOP, she typically stops. I think the best thing is to ...

:crybaby: Oh no! She was such an amazing dog, I was really excited to be able to be a part of her transport, but it never happened. RIP sweet Sara Lee. :frown:

Thanks BabyReba for the thread.

wondering about Sarah Lee

I feel terrible, but I can't recall the screen-name of the PBF member that I was in contact with to transport a senior pit named Sarah Lee a while back. The transport was called off due to the adoptive mom being deployed - she was in the military. I was just wondering where Sarah Lee is...what becam...

Thanks, I'll try it. I left some food and water out for it tonight. I saw it once more before I left the office a little while ago and it darted again. Hopefully it'll chow on the food and come back for more.

Need help with a stray

It's not a pit, but it's a scared little dog! He/she has been hanging around my office parking lot all day - but runs whenever he's approached. He's a small breed, not sure what kind, my small breed knowledge is pretty limited - almost looks like a white "Benji" type dog. Very dirty and ap...

I have a shovel and a short handled garden hoe. Works great, no missing grass and it's clean and easy.

I'm so sorry for all Sawney, you and your family has been though. I can't even imagine being in your shoes. I was on the verge of tears thinking about you going to pick up your pup and being told she might die. Why wasn't anyone on the phone with you during the day?! I'm really really happy to hear ...
