Lil'Bit

I thought I'd post this girlie here since she's a dog for old world pit bull lovers. She's one of the tinies at about 38lbs. About 2 years old and doing well with all our dogs over here. Plays nice, respects the matriarchs, backs down to dog corrections and ignores dogs on leash. She's been a very e...

It is. And to think, the bully people actually had a golden opportunity to prove that they could be 'different' and keep their dogs out of trouble. But they're just following in the same old footsteps. Bleh!

Summer's bringing more unwanted hippos to our shelters. This boy was having a hard time breathing in the heat. Funny crossed eyes, not as people-connected as his full breed pit bull cousins. Sigh. :frown: But I'm sure he fetched a good price for some happy elite dude. http://www.badrap.org/rescue/im...

Hey Ann Congrats on scoring this wonderful girl. Sorry I don't have many photos - you snapped her up so quick that we didn't have time to build up her little porfolio. But I'm sure you'll take care of that once she's home. Here's a pic I do have on file. Sweet Abbey! http://www.badrap.org/rescue/img...

In her defence, it is true that she had been in heat when she was reported to have nipped a volunteer, and it seemed that she could have been acting as though she were still in heat about the time when she nipped the dog in the socialization context that did actually break skin. We had Isabelle in ...

What a sweet thought.

Don and Chris are two of the biggest hearts you'll meet. They have an email feature set up thru Nemo's movie link so they can chat with friends. I think it's at the bottom of this page:

Cute pup. Looks like a pit bull to me. Just an FYI on fearful pups ... You won't get the same read on a 6 month old dog as you will when the dog is 14 months or more. This is a good reason to keep fear-babies in long term foster situations and watch them grow up to make sure they have what it takes ...

This one's for you. Send good thoughts to your little pit-(boston?) mascot.

Ooo Ooo! What a cutie! I don't see any BT, laura. Based on where she's from, I'd say straight up old world Louisiana-style pit bull. I love her. Keep her on a leash tho, eh? lol I got so excited about her "little bit of merle" .... That's so similar to these crazy merle patches that this l...

It doesn't sound like this is a good time for you to take on a new project, a, especially if you're limited with a tight budget and with the animal -tolerance issues in your busy house.

She does look like a sweet girl adoptapbt ... Maybe Dawn's sister has info on her animal tolerance? Its nearly impossible to test the dogs for animal aggression at this particular shelter because of set up of the shelter + really crappy policy. When we pull from there we usually have to cross our fi...
