I hear ya ... Which is exactly why we ask out of state homes to drive to us. We figure any good applicant who's willing to take off for a few days and put 1000 miles on their car is super motivated. I'm like you and would MUCH prefer people adopt adults, but if they're going to get a pup, wouldn't y...

Don't feel toooo bad, barbponys ... Malone (in the pic) and Runty are both turning out to be the biggest HELLIONS of the batch. Good thing they're cute, b/c they're going to give their new families a ride for their money someday! (Yes gf! That's Big Daddy Bruno. He's so patient with the trouble make...

Oregon Rescuers - Advice Pls

Two of the best apps we've gotten for pups so far are from OR, so we're going to go ahead and okay the adoptions pending home and reference checks. Would any of the OR rescuers on board here be willing to help us find someone who can do a home check? The applicants are in Albany and Deers Creek. And...

Rumpley, Shelter experienced vets are usually willing to do them, so ask your local shelter(s) who they contract out for vetcare. Good luck. I hope you have enough time to find someone who can help you!

Oh, man I hear ya on the application woes! Pit pups bring ALLLLLL the creeps out of the woodwork. To save our sanity, we've enlisted a team of volunteers just to help us deal with puppy details and screen out the riff raff. Here are some more pix: http://www.badrap.org/rescue/img/pups_girl.jpg http:...

BadRap Pups Comin' Soon

Thought I'd throw this out there ... We have seven gorgeous pups in and will be taking applications soon. If you live within driving distance to the SF bay area (we don't ship) and have a solid home for a pupper, let us know. They're from a cruelty case and their Mom will be joining us soon. She's a...

How bizarre, can any rescue folk help explain why they might not WANT help? They prob want help, but might be too buried to organize it. So many rescues are one or two man shops with full time jobs, and dog dramas end up chewing up any and every bit of free time. (Hey, we don't go to school to lear...

Hyper, it's great that you want to help, but five week old puppies need a female role model right now, not an untrained male that may or may not eat them. The rescue was just being responsible to the pups in this sitch. You can't blame them for being smart. Using a rescue dog to socialize your boy i...
