Do just a bit of reading to get the percentages in your head -- I feed 4 oz of organ a week with 50 kibble am /50 raw pm... you can pretty much use most everything tho I can't bring myself to feed beef 'marrow guts' that look like intestines!!! Yeah - I guess it's not much of anything = Ruby doesn't like nylabones and doesn't chew on sticks --- just balls and fetch.... Its just out of the norm and worrisome to MOM... DH thinks she caught our cold...LOL

Yes - shouldn't be HW. All I can think about is worst case - tumor! My guess is that it's just an irritation but she has never made this sound short of straight-up coughing like from playing ball in dirt/grass....

This doesn't seem acute enough to go to the vet but since Sunday night (today is Tues), Ruby has infrequently been making a dry huffing cough sound - like if you breathe out in a quick breath with your mouth open. If it just started very recently DO YOU BEST NOW TO STOP AND BREAK THAT PATTERN - immediately correct her or offer a distraction of your time or a toy.... don't let the habit or pattern get set --- even if it ends up being a bigger problem I believe it will make a difference to not let it become a n...

I have no experience (thank goodness) but look up canine OCD -- did you ever use a laser pointer as a toy/game? The extreme cases I've heard of needed medication. My neighbors doxi does that and it creeps me out ... always watching and staring at the ground and blowing leaves, etc...

They generally go away on their own in about 3 months --- Ruby's followed that to the T and went a way. Her's tho was on her foot and 1/4 in or less in diameter.
