I absolutely do NOT recommend those laser pointers to anyone - not worth the risk of unfixable OCD !!!

Re: infrequent dry cough?

Yeah - I guess it's not much of anything = Ruby doesn't like nylabones and doesn't chew on sticks --- just balls and fetch.... Its just out of the norm and worrisome to MOM... DH thinks she caught our cold...LOL

Re: infrequent dry cough?

Yes - shouldn't be HW. All I can think about is worst case - tumor! My guess is that it's just an irritation but she has never made this sound short of straight-up coughing like from playing ball in dirt/grass....

infrequent dry cough?

This doesn't seem acute enough to go to the vet but since Sunday night (today is Tues), Ruby has infrequently been making a dry huffing cough sound - like if you breathe out in a quick breath with your mouth open. It's sort of bugging me since she has never done that. It's only been several times a ...

They generally go away on their own in about 3 months --- Ruby's followed that to the T and went a way. Her's tho was on her foot and 1/4 in or less in diameter.

Re: Personality change after spay?

I didn't mean to sound like a know it all or discount your question - and I do not have experience with a lot of dogs - but with my dog and everything I've read and seen, there was no change. I get annoyed with people whose dogs gain weight after spay (and they blame it on the speuter) because they ...

Re: Personality change after spay?

That is a silly question - they don't gain weight or change personalities short of normal growth-related changes! Yes, they may be less aggressive and may mark less but the dog you know and love doesn't change just because it's speutered.

In the meantime, buy some inexpensive throw rugs and help him by making a trail. I have that from our bedroom hall thru the kitchen for my girl.

Re: California Natural vs. Fromm

I was afraid you would say that, Misskiwi............ I used to use the Whitefish formula and it's 12% or maybe 14% tops. Their Gold Weight Management is 10%. I have since switched my pancreatitis candidate to a raw diet, because I can control exactly how much fat she is really getting. I do feed ra...
