Now I'm concerned since Ruby had a mild bout of pancreatitis over a month ago tho was clea...

Re: Sprain leg - Anyone with experience?

I would think a sprain would hurt for a week at least - could it be arthritis setting in?

Re: Cracked teeth from raw bones!

I was going to say powdered egg shell - I supp wiht that when not feeding bone. My girl's teeth are now FLAT mostly from bones and maybe a bit from tennis balls - I've been wondering how to handle things if the flat teeth wear down anymore re our raw dinners.... there might be some commercial produc...

6 week old husky x boxer baby - so cal

Long shot -- because my neighbor's son just showed up with a BABY puppy I'm guessing to be 5 or 6 weeks old - traded for speakers in a parking lit - apparent mix of husky and boxer. Darling puppy with cute markings. They're going to try to sell it themselves tomorrow but think it's better off than t...

Re: Deno's Spine?

Oh noes... Deno, that is NOT what we want to hear! Keep us posted -- I was just thinking about you guys the other day!! Ruby has new spondylosis evidence per recent x-rays :crybaby: and we just built a ramp for our bed that I still need to cover with carpet but so far, she is asymptomatic. Think abo...

We've been using Trifexis for more than a year and no side effects - I hate giving her more chemicals but it is so much better than messing around with the topical stuff...

I think that's normal ... my dog has puked up whole kibbles too before - hours after a meal. Obviously she doesn't chew them all on the way in.

She thinks she is well now

Thanks everyone for your good thoughts. She thinks she is well now - kept bringing me her tennis ball last nite when I refused to play with her. She is demanding breakfast now and I think we can stop the tramadol (gave her a morning one and one at dinner yesterday). We skipped our normal morning wal...

PANCREATITIS - mild

We got lucky with a mild case and were able to bring Ruby home just now. :) That is a relief. They left the IV catheter in and we go back in the morning for another round of fluids. Sent me home with tramadol and an esophagus/stomach coating pill and 12 cans of HIlls low fat i/d. She is perkier but ...

Re: BARFING several times today = blockage?

They are keeping Ruby all day to put her on IV fluids (her gums were dry-ish) and doing bloodwork and testing specifically for pa...

BARFING several times today = blockage?

Geez - I don't want to go to the e-vet!!! I'm worried about a blockage?????? Ruby puked this morning about 6am - would have been dinner which was a beef rib + beef kidney and a piece of duck jerkey. (she never used to 'eat' the ribs and the last one she ate 2/3 of - so I took this one away early lik...

Re: any remedy for salt water ingestion?

Thanks.... what does one do for a habitual salt water drinker - avoid it altogether or just regulate the frequency. Too bad her hips suck or I'd look into water sports for my water fiend :( But I'm not sure I want to repeat this - I was AMAZED by the force of the expulsion and was very worried about...
