I've been getting the Before Grain (buffalo, tripe, beef, turkey - there is also salmon and chicken). Evangers gave my Ruby wicked gas (I think) but the Before Grain is great - esp the tripe. Just water and meat. They are like $1.79 per can tho... :(

Not to be totally off topic - but I often defrost Ruby's chicken parts in the microwave and ahve wondered if it had a similar bone-hardening effect?? I usually leave the meat slightly frozenish still but any thoughts related to flash boiling???

We don't let Ruby out on to our sod lawn without following her around with a watering can - it's fenced off with a flimsy fence the rest of the time... :dunno: I'd be interested in any remedies but you'd still have to apply it like the watering can or reseed every year...

Eww - and I feel your pain! Is it possible to have leaking glands that do not need to be expressed? A few times a week, Ruby gets 'the butt stink' and I wipe her butt and try to squeeze (yuk) BUT have never felt any compacted lumps or gotten any goo....
