Rambler, I've had no offers. I can board her for a week or two for $9/day (with an offer of $5/day received already to offset boarding costs), but I can't justify pulling a dog without having somewhere for her to go. I've debated asking my landlord if I could temporarily board her here, but same iss...

The adoption fee is $100, with a $75 refundable spay/neuter deposit. I have only been told that she did "great" when they tested her with dogs/cats. For more details, please contact the rescue coordinator Sharon Lohman at slohman@pacbell.net.

Her last day is probably Sunday. I will pull her, sponsor her spay/vaccines/chip/HWT & help transport, and I have received an offer for food donation and $100 towards 3 wks of boarding (which may be possible at my mom's clinic if she doesn't have KC).

She just got put on the EA list. Crap!

My only option would be to board her, but I couldn't get away with that for too long.

I hope her owner rots... :crybaby:

Adorable chocolate brindle running out of time in central CA

http://i128.photobucket.com/albums/p181/jltomich/a051375.jpg This is A051375. She is currently at the Merced Shelter, a high-kill rural shelter, where her chances of adoption are slim. She has already been at the shelter for 3 weeks and her time is running out. She needs a foster or permanent home ...

A full house!

I just got word that I'll have to move at the beginning of the year unless I want to share living space with my mother & husband #4, which I'm just not prepared to do unless I have to. :yucky: So, I'm trying to place as many fosters as possible by the end of the year. Up for grabs are: http://i1...

More than likely, he'll be done at UCD, where they always do a full workup before surgery. Ironically, the dogs have a better chance of getting chosen if they have something "extra" that needs to be done (like Taffy's foxtail abscess), so any masses/dental would be a good thing! lol

Neutersol for geriatric dog?

I thought I read a few years ago that neutersol was for whatever reason not being used in the US, but I'm not 100% sure on that. I'm getting a 9-10 yr old male from Merced tomorrow, and while I know that's not out of the question for neutering, if the injectable neuter is available I'd like to spare...

He went for a walk today and did extremely well after Mr Pinch Collar & he had a discussion about pulling/aimless wandering.

NPB foster available for adoption!

So, here is my new foster thru YCSPCA: http://i128.photobucket.com/albums/p181/jltomich/mantis.jpg No, wait, that's the praying mantis I found on the patio umbrella this afternoon. http://i128.photobucket.com/albums/p181/jltomich/cody5.jpg Here he is! I'm not normally a retriever person, but Cody is...

Well, keep me in mind if he gets desperate. Lola is leaving at the end of the month, but I hate to count on that as a given. And I still have a crapload of work to do on the house, but that's another story...

I took Desi to meet DUH-dley this morning, and he is just a big (75# easy with no fat on him at all) ball of stupid and happiness. I had been warned that he was a compulsive humper, but he never once made a move on Desi. She lifted her lip at him and snapped at him and he took it all in good humor. ...

Lil stray puppy in Sacramento

A couple in Pogo's training class found an 8-10wk old black/seal female pit bull pup a week ago and so far have not found an owner looking for her. She is very bully looking and has an underbite. Adorable and feisty, she is fussy about having her mouth/head/feet handled, but the couple fostering are...

I'm still boggling over the comment that we don't know the long-term effects of early spay/neuter. It's only been common practice (at least in my area) for 20 years! roflmao
