i think that rawhides are good sometimes because they help clean dogs teeth but not all the time because they do have trouble digeting them.

my parents have a blind cat and sometimes (most of the time) she acts like she can see. she just picks up her other instents (hearing, feeling, smelling, etc.) maybe its' the same with a deaf dog.

be sure to do lots of resurch before getting it done. make sure you know whos doing it and see the job that they do before you get yours done. i find that a lot of people fear dogs with cliped ears though so prepare for that.

personally i'd leave them unless they were very floppy and causing problems. i've seen torn off declaws and it wasn't pretty. but those were all really floppy, loose ones. if you're worried about them getting caught in heavy brush, you can always wrap over them with a bit of vet wrap. i agree with ...
