Hey SugarFox, how far are you from Fort Lauderdale, boward or broward county?

I have a friend that lives there that is interested in fostering. She has no knowledge of APBT's (besides my words) and is very responsible.

Actually, I'd like to change my mind lol. Try the 15 minute thing first, and she might test you for a while, but stay strict. If that doesn't work, then she is probably being overfed. THEN try decreasing the food!

If my math is correct, you are at about 3.5 - 4 cups a day (1.75 - 2 per feeding), which is too much for your dog at 45 lbs. My dog is 40 lbs and she gets a max of 3 cups per day (1 cup per feeding). She is usually at 2.5 cups per day. Try going down to 3 cups a days. So about a quarter can of wet a...

So how many cups does she get per day. I am thinking here that she might be overfed. Free feeding a dog means just placing the bowl down and the dog eats whenever he/she feels like. If you do free-feed, then the dog might think that its better to hang out with you and eat later. That could be anothe...

Does your BF free-feed the dog?

Does anyone give her table food?

How old, how much does she weight and how much do you feed her?

Ok so why don't you give St. Hyacinthe a call and talk to a specialist about what they might do to help Streets with his problem?

If you like what you hear, then you can go, if not, then at least you tried. I can definitely help you out in getting there if need be!

Re: Shaping up!

1. I understand that daily walks are important but how long of a walk? Mile wise? I am kind of a slow walker and Helena is a fast walker, actually her walk is more of a trot. If we can't make it out EVERY day, how many times a week would be best? In a previous post, I said that a mile or two is not...

I used Ivermectin for about 2 months and at that point, there was lots of lost hair and no improvement. I don't know much about this medicine but I do know that it's not a mild one. After I had finished the bottle, I was called in to do a skin scraping and she was tested negative. 3-4 months after t...

Not sure about your specific situation, but my dog was in a similar case and it took a LONG time for me to see some hair growth. I think it was something around 4 months or so after she was tested negative!

It's certainly worth a try.

Thanks Sue. I gave her a call and left a message!

Needing temporary/long-term foster parents!

Hey guys, never thought I would be posting much in this part of the forum but here it goes. I got a call today from one of the ladies in our local rescues and here is the story: The random guys calls our rescue claiming that his pregnant APBT female just gave birth to 14 puppies, can you believe thi...
