Concerning the organizations you asked about, I'm not sure, but our training facility does trials with the AAC, the Agility Association of Canada. Their website is www.aac.ca. Does that help?

Yes we are both content with what we are doing so far. The two other teams in the class were highly impressed at our progress during the week. I'm ...

UPDATE: So, after completing the Basic Agility class (today), I sat down with the trainer and had a nice/long discussion with her. Considering the Obedience and Performance classes were already full for this term, we have decided to continue along with the next level agility; Intermediate Agility. ...

They said 4-6 weeks of "confinement". Do you know how hard that s with a dog named Spaz? Yes believe me I know, because I have a "Paris in the house." Given these circumstances, give the dog mental exercise. Obedience would be great. Tiring a dog out is not only a physical thing...

I would watch her poo. If she has diahrea (maybe some blood too), I would SUSPECT a blockage. Besides that, it might be fine!

I am guessing this dog has been with you for a very short period of time? If so, then it might be normal. The dog is adjusting to a new environment. You need to bond with her, at the same time don't force her into it. Let her explore her new world carefully. I would not let anyone get close to her r...

First thing I would advise is: call your vet and ask him/her how much (if any) exercise you can give her. This is an APBT, they simply need A LOT of exercise. It definitely is frustrating for her to be with no exercise. Once her leg heals, and exercise resumes, all should be fine! However, I don't s...

Not sure if anyone mentioned this, but please do not force her into anything. Let her call the shots. Don't force her next to you or anything of that sort. Allow her the time to explore. My dog was scared SH1TLESS when I first got her. I left the ball in her court and she called all the shots. Coupl...

But for now, we are done with agility. You...

I understand what all of you guys are saying. Given that, I would have to mention that Paris finished her intermediate obedience class as the top dog. Seeing the other dogs and how they did not grasp the obedience concept, I was rather pleased to see my pup performing all the obedience commands and ...

Need agility advice!

So since we started agility, Paris has been excellent. She got over the fear of the seasaw and now she can do it all. Problem is, she thinks that staying with me is boring. She will do a tire, jump, frame and walk away from me. Besides that, she is excellent and we are looking into entering some loc...
