If it's white, then I do not think that it is an infection. Sinusitis might be the problem. Last I checked it was some sort of allergic reaction due to seasonal changes. I think you should take the dog to the vet, he/she might prescribe some antibiotics for your pup.

Yeah good that it ended like that with you. My dog broke her whole nail (front paw). She had to be put under general anasthesia and had the whole freaken nail taken off. $200 bucks later, she is still recovering. I noticed that your dog's nails were a bit long? If you trim them, then that would help...

same here

I use it too. If you use a dremmel once a week, I think you can keep the nail lengths under control.

I think anesthesia effects them all different and depends how much they use also. Khan has been under 3 times in the last year. So I have a little experience. Usually his tummy is upset for at least a day (soft poop or diarrhea). He was pretty out of it the time he hurt his nail. He was drunk walki...

I checked it out and it seems like its the same company as petplan.com. Gopetplan.com is the US version, and on their website, they redirect you to petplan.com if you are a Canadian resident. But I really like what they offer for the US residents, not really the same as what they offer us.

Maybe try a shower? Honestly, Benadryl does not work on my dog, but then again, she has a bad case of allergies which comes and goes whenever.

I have heard that benadry DOES infact work, so definitely try that. Its an antihistamine, made for that stuff.

And I forgot to mention that my bill was $203 and that "type" of an accident is not covered by the pet insurance. I am so pissed that tomorrow morning I am cancelling my premium with them. Gonna go with someone else!

I personally use pills. About 35mg and she weights about 40 pounds. I put them in peanut butter and off they go!

UPDATE: Basically, it was worse than I anticipated. Her whole nail was broken and they had to cut all the nail uptil the root. She was sedated, and had her nail cut. I went to pick her up and she was in so much pain I didnt even want to ask questions. Just wanted to be back home with her. I think it...

I agree with Leslie. It should be able to wait until tomorrow. Maybe if you can wrap the paw it will be less painful. Thanks guys! The paw is wrapped now. She is not using it at all. Í'm gonna have to wait and see if I can get an appointment tomorrow. However, she does not look like she is in disco...
