Re: Shamoo needs her own life vest

I have one that you are more than welcome to have. Purina gave all the dogs one, it was required by ESPN that all dogs wear one. It has only been used once. Not sure of the brand or size but I can pull it out and take a look. I will be in Vegas this weekend so we can meet up?

Re: Dock diving questions

He shouldn't be anywhere near the dock until he learns to use the ramp to get out the pool. He is panicking because he doesn't no where to go. Next time just throw the toy from the ramp until he swims back to the ramp on his own and not dragged by his collar.

Re: conformation

A dog with poor structure may be able to compete in the less strenous sports out there such as dock diving. You may not be competitive in the sport but as long as you and your dog are having fun that's all that matters.

Re: Sturdy tie-out

A tree is your best bet. It will provide shade and strength all you need is a good cable, which you can find at your local pet stores and should be more than strong enough unless you know your dog is out control.

i didn't say they cannot communicate normally, but rather that they seem to be less expressive.

Re: OFFICIAL ear cropping/tail docking debate thread

Ok, for the folks who think cropping is cruel, useless, and for cosmetics. That's fine for me, and it doesn't bother me. That is your opinion and you are entitled to it. What bothers me is, the clueless folks that make comments like, cropped ears are prone to dog fights and dogs lose communication. ...

Re: OFFICIAL ear cropping/tail docking debate thread

You don't need to explain to me how a dog communicates. I understand it very well. My question to your reply was, what are the differences in ear expressions between a cropped and uncropped dog?

Re: OFFICIAL ear cropping/tail docking debate thread

The funny thing is most people wouldn't understand how to communicate with a dog if it spoke in words never mind communicating through body language! I would like to know exactly what expressions you are losing with cropped ears?

Re: Slip Leads

I have the leather one from Paco collars which I love and is my everyday slip lead. I also have two from Ellas lead which I use at dog events. They are very durable and easy on the hands.

Re: OFFICIAL ear cropping/tail docking debate thread

My dog never has nor will ever play with or need to communicate with other dogs. That goes for my future dogs as well of any breed . My dog communicates with me fine with cropped ears and we have never gotten into a fight.

Re: APBTs and ACL Tears

I agree with misskiwi, if you understand how the knee works and the ligaments attached to it than you would know its not a genetic predisposition. If your worried how intense your dog is with chasing a ball you could always have him retrieve a dead ball. Which is putting the dog in a stay, throwing ...
