Wolves don't play fetch, jump through obstacle courses in record times, etc. We put dogs through different kinds of stresses than wolves do so they could use that extra help. Just curious, what do you do with your dogs because I have seen first hand the benefits of suppementing a working dog and the...

Adriannes' dogs are very active and do a lot of hiking so a raw diet might not be enough. I work my dogs alot and use Vertex in building stamina and recovery. A good diet might be good enough for the average dog, I don't think it is enough for the working dog.

That is a false statement if I've ever heard one. That pretty much goes with pits cant swim because their heads are too big statement!

that illustrates the point. You read a million books that said X. There are another million books that say Y and yet another that say Z and some that say 1 and 2 and stay away from the alphabet altogether. There would be no practical way to decide on THE WAY ALL DOG TRAINERS should train. The only ...

You could take this anyway you want. You either correct the problem and keep him supervised or give the dog up. Letting someone else abuse your dog is no different than you allowing to happen and that makes you an irrresponsible owner plain and simple. Get your sh*t together and do whats best for yo...

Enjoy your petsmart training! I'm sure you will learn a thing or two. LOL! Your defensive attitude and inability to address the thread issues while instead falling back on insults says way more about you than it does about me. You still can't articulate exactly what I said that is wrong and on exac...

I have no issues with you or the statements you have made so I don't know if your comment was made at me. You have titles on your dogs as do I, maybe not as many and we probably have different methods on how we achieved those titles but you have experience as do many others that will diagree on trai...

I'm done here. I will continue to use the methods that I've have ACTUALLY experienced and not read from some book or some psycologists opinions and continue to put titles on my dogs and the dogs that I work with and you can coddle your dogs all you want.

I understand its not a straight black and white issue. If that was the case one training method would work the same for all dogs. Some fearfulness will not work with the ignore method but fearfulness can be worked on and I don't think coddling could make it worse but it won't make it any better eith...

Sorry Sara that question wasn't meant for you and I understand that is the emotion that is being interpreted and I think dogs can overcome fearfulness with the ignoring method.

A dog could have a bad experience if it was at a bank and a dog could have a good experience at a bank if it was being robbed but you will never have a person have a good experience at a bank while it is being robbed so tell me in all your "new school reading" how that is even close to th...

Re: Fairy Tales About Dog Dominance, Leadership, and Packs

My female used to submissive pee at the sight of me whenever I came home for almost two years. I would coddle her and thought that would make it better and it never did. I than learned that ignoring her when I came home was best and she hasn't done it in over 7 years. So that statement to me is BS....
