I have a tripe question, since I'm having a really hard time finding any frozen around here. Is it just useless to feed the canned stuff, or does it retain some benefits even though it's obviously not raw? Check out http://www.animalfood.com they have freeze dried green tripe there and it is excell...

There is no need to "completely balance a meal". Nobody would last by that method - it gets way too complex. Balance over time and you'll be fine. Your pup can handle all that RAW can throw at it. Funny how folks think that their kibble is free from bacteria. FYI: kibble takes considerabl...

but my girl i give chicken/turkey and beef

I would stick with the premade until you learn to completely balance a meal.

Salgonza wrote:ok, well i have chicken in the freezer i'll let them finish it up, but i guess like everyone else i will switch it up to premade.

it was after all so much easier.

I did premade b4 and it was great for the convenience. however i want the benefits of the shiny teeth from the bones. Oh yea and the powdery stool, which is so easy to clean up. You can still feed premade until you understand the requirements of feeding raw and still give the dog marrow bones for t...

I feed 2.25lbs. a day which is 4%. If I were to feed only 4 days a week that would equal 3.94 lbs. a day. I just can't see myself feeding that much food in a day and still be able to condition him properly with that much food in him even if I were to feed at the end of the day.

I told you folks, and look at what happens, you guys tried and it didn't work. Like I said before, some people don't have the common sense to own animals but there is no law against stupidity. The fact that he already has plans on getting another dog is the worst part.

Do your dogs eat grass? But in fairness, the grass comes out the other end in much the same state it went in, so it's not really being used. I actually do feed an extremely small amount of vegetable, but does it not strike you as odd that to do so we need to process those vegetables for a dog to ev...

One thing I will agree with Misskiwi67 on is that dogs are not obligate carnivores like cats are. Dogs don't have that short a digestive tract, and they do have a cecum (for breaking down plant material). Cats would prefer and do extremely well on a 100% meat diet. Dogs do best with some vegetables...

I didn't mean it like that. Like Sarah said I wouldn't use it for moderate exercise. It would actually cause the dog to fatten up instead of lean them out. I have yet to start Maximus this year on any supplements and I am very happy so far with the results. I just look at it like if the dog is only ...

First of all does this posting sound a little fishy to anyone? Sounds like someone is jsut trying to get everyone wound up. Look at every reply to everyone suggestions. By the way before you call Hills and Iams and other companies at that level, just remember who has been around the longest and don...
