Sorry for the DP, but....I think her dog role is clear in the house. We don't treat her like a person...she's the doggy...or, 'gee' to Char.

Yeah, well...DH is NOT a dog person at all. His kids come before the dog, simple as that. Emma was everything to ME before the kids came along...not to him. I would love to be able to give her an hour a day, but I can't even stand for more than 10 minutes w/o getting dizzy and having to sit down aga...

She only does it at night, doesn't do it during the day even if she's home alone most of the day. I tried to block access, but she body slammed the baby gate to get in last night (thought I heard something!). She isn't getting nearly as much attention as she did before Charlotte was born, of course ...

Re: I am SO fed up!

I'm tired of her peeing where Charlotte (and soon the new baby) plays! Maybe it's some kind of territorial thing? Are there places in the house that are just for Emma that Charlotte (or her toys) cannot get to? Is she definitely peeing or is it marking? Our bedroom is Emma's. Char doesn't go in the...

I have to use the calming tab thingys for Emma when we're getting a thunderstorm, otherwise she freaks out and shakes and barks and tries to climb up into my lap. They work really well though!

Why? To drive me crazy, at least it feels like it! She had a UA at the vet and she's just fine. She used to use a crate and was perfect in it, then started hating it, now she will NOT go into it to save her life. When we adopted her she was crate trained. We used it for...well, until a few months ag...

I am SO fed up!

Emma has decided that the living room floor is THE spot to pee at night. At least once a week she goes in there to pee. She's been to the vet, nothing wrong with her at all. We let her out RIGHT before we go to bed at 11pm. We take away water at 8pm. The nights that we remember to put the baby gate ...

Emma is right on the border give or take 5lbs and since her weight goes up and down throughout the year I just use the bigger size...if she drops that 5-10lbs in the summer from more exercise I don't think it'll hurt her...right?

LOL. We used to have one and had to get rid of it cause my BIG male cat, Bob (18-20lbs) would hiss and attack it every time it glurped at him and he was drinking. I'm talking, ATTACK as in body slam and send it flying...and it was the 3 or 5 gallon one....funny as heck to watch....a pain in the butt...
