Emma does it. She'll even bark softly. When she starts really shaking/whimpering I'll pet her lightly and tell her she's a good girl and that Mommy and Daddy are right here, usually she'll open an eye, see us and settle back down.

Should be an interesting time....especially with another baby due in June. Both babies and Emma are more than worth the time and effort it will take to get everyone adjusted though. Thanks for the advice everyone.

Steps are now being taken to keep them safe so hopefully all will be well with some time and work. If DH is down with Char then Emma is in with us and Char isn't around her. We let Char pet Em this afternoon and Emma rubbed up on her to get more nice pets on her shoulders. Just gonna have to all wor...

We have a baby gate, so we're going to have to babygate Emma out of the living room (which is pretty tiny anyway, specially with baby toys everywhere) when Charlotte is down crawling/toddling around. I hate to lock her out of the 'fun', specially since she sits outside of the gate looking to come in...

I'm thinking y'all might be right, could be arthritis or something setting in. She's around 7ish years old we think. Best guess from the vet last year was 6. Gonna have to mention that to the vet next time we go. Wonder if I should give her an aspirin or something. She was kinda stiff jumping into b...

She's an APBT/GSD mix. Daddy was a GSD, mommy was an APBT. Finally after talking to the pound that had her for 3 years got that much out of them. I've felt her all over and she doesn't seem to be in any pain anywhere. She was mostly outside today (didn't want to come in, I think she knows it's gonna...

Well I obviously don't let Charlotte hurt Emma! Emma seemed to enjoy the attention until a week or so ago. She would bring the baby toys to play 'tug' with, sharing treats with eachother (most Char sharing with Emma, lOl). I think the baby gate will have to be used to keep Emma out of the living roo...

I was thinking the same thing. She growled at her and sorta raised her lips last week when Char was crawling around, but I really didn't think much of it cause Char was getting kinda obnoxious and loud (not touching Ems, just being loud). I honestly don't think Emma would ever HURT her, not on purpo...

Emma Tried to Bite Charlotte...WTF?

Emma has been EXCELLENT with Charlotte since the day we brought the baby home. AWESOME, best dog EVER. I've been singing her praises since we brought Char home. Char rolls and crawls around, stands herself up on Emma, pulls on her collar, lips, shares treats and toys, Emma loves her up, tolerates EV...

Cost is the major one. Time is another. Kibble is SO much easier, which I know is a cop-out, but with a baby and another on the way...ya know. Plus...she is doing well on kibble, so...why fix what's not broke? But, mostly cost.
