My dogs have done well on the duck/potato (the only NB option for us - Abbie Lou is rice intolerant and sweet potato is on her list of "suspected" food allergies). I think the Canidae is a better "food value" as far as what you get for what you pay, but in the end, it really depe...

Abbie Lou pukes once or twice a month. She doesn't have many stool issues, but ol' pukey Lou sure can hurl! With her, I think it's a combination of things, but I think stress is a big factor. She's a nervous dog...a fearful girl who tries to bluff the world with a big, bad exterior. Shamus gets bad ...

Poor Acey! But hey...if I was a dog, I'd FAR rather live life to the fullest and get the occassional owie than be overly pampered and only see the vet once a year.

Get better soon, big guy!

Puppies and kittens lose thier baby teeth and grow in adult teeth just like humans. Not sure of the timeline, as both of my dogs were 10 months or older when I got them, but I'm betting she just got a visit from the tooth fairy.

My almost two year old (mega-mutt) girl gets hiccups rather frequently (probably three or four times in an average month). She is NOT the most "digestively sound" dog out there (i.e. she pukes more often than the average dog), and I have no clue if the hiccups are related to her GI sensiti...

My Abbie Lou will go after crickets and flies, but her FAVORITE, most absolutely obsessive target is cicadas (which scream terribly when they die, by the way). We've never had a major problem. I attempt to keep her from it, but they're all over on our walks. She has vomited a couple of times when sh...

What do you do to improve your dogs health??? What kind of vitamins, supplements you give your dog? I supplement with salmon oil, and I tried to supplement with kefir, a natural probiotic drink made from cultured milk (supposed to be well-tolerated, even by those with dairy allergies), but after abo...

I, too, treat monthly (even through the winter...we often don't get enough really cold winter to kill off the parasites, and have three UNtreated indoor kitties we want to avoid having to treat), and have pulled on live and somewhat engorged tick off of one of the dogs, despite their treatment. I do...

FrontlinePlus actually treats for fleas for up to three months per dosage, but treats for ticks for just one month. So again, while it may seem like a lot of money out of pocket at first, if you stretch it to 2-3 months per treatment, it really ends up being worth it.

Hmmm, I hadn't heard that. Abbie Lou doesn't like ice, but we give pieces of it through the day to Shame, when we're out on the boat. Usually they're just lounging around, though, not doing anything strenuous.
