Welcome to the forum! I'm no expert, but he looks like an APBT to me. Maybe you should post some pictures of him standing up/from the side and tell us how much he weighs. Someone else on here (there's a lot of very knowledgeable people on this forum) will be able to tell you more certainly! :) Gorge...

Naughty Buster!

So a couple of days ago Buster ate a chicken wing (cooked) off of the kitchen table. I freaked out and made sure to monitor him for bloody stools or anything, but the bones passed fine - it's been about 4 days and he seems to be ok. Is there something else I should do? If he hasn't had bloody stools...

Oneluckygirl, does the rescue know your other half is in the military and therefore you might relocate often? I can't say if the dog doesn't like traveling but it isn't going to stop us from taking one in just because of it. We travel but we are not the family that makes irrational decisions, at le...

Good point about separating the cats and dog while it dries. I can atest to the power of Advantix - Buster used to get eaten ALIVE by them, but it really does repel it better than using any kind of Off. I also read somewhere that using Off can clog their pores.

I had no idea that was the right way to clean a dog's ears. I had used the pro ear pre moistenend wipes - http://grooming.petedge.com/Top-Performance-ProEar-Professional-Ear-Wipes-TP133.pro?parentCategoryId=190&categoryId=213&subCategoryId=219&subsubCategoryId=364 - Great information - t...

Buster got some ant bites on his belly that looked like that. They gave me some kind of ointment at the vet to relieve the itching. It went away in a few days.

If you go to http://www.petedge.com you can order all of the shampoos that are used at groomers, for the price the groomers pay. Most everything is concentrated, so you have to dilute it, but it lasts way longer and isn't as expensive. There's some Missing Link treats at PetSmart as well that are su...

Buster got a cold when he was about 8 months old - his cough progressed over 2 days until he was up all night hacking and wheezing. I took him to the vet just to make sure and they said he had a cold and they gave him antibiotics and a cough suppressant. I think it all cost me about $100.
