Update** After doing more research and talking to others, apparently this is easily handled by a simple spay surgery. I had the personal fear in the back of my mind that this would be an expensive surgery reaching into a couple hundred dollars EASILY. At this time, we CAN cover the costs of a spay s...

Emergency Funds Needed!

One of our most dedicated volunteers just got in contact with me this evening and her neighbor found a dog with what we suspect is a prolapsed uterus. We are taking her into the vet first thing in the morning to get her squared away. We'll get her scanned for a microchip and all just to make sure bu...

Just wanted to update :) Topanga found a local foster and she's getting out of the shelter tomorrow! All the other dogs still need help though! Gabe is next on our most urgent list and we've had the LEAST interest in him. Someone out there has got to want a Cow-Pit! He's still in North Carolina too.

Several Dogs - SE US

We've been flooded with requests to help dogs in need in our area and we just cannot keep up! We've been trying to find foster homes and things just have NOT been going well on that front in finding people that are qualified. So without further adiou, the pooches: Gabe is actually with a rescue in N...

It's been NINE MONTHS and this girl is still here! I'm so frustrated because she's an AWESOME dog! I can't say that enough. http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d98/charmdcheval/NHPBR/Mia/IMG_4982.jpg http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d98/charmdcheval/NHPBR/Mia/IMG_5000.jpg http://i33.photobucket.com/a...

lol My foster girl Mia has been with me since April of 2008. She's our long-timer and it drives me crazy why she's still here. *time to resurrect her thread methinks*

I don't get why Riddick is still with you at all!

He is GORGEOUS! Have you gotten him up on Petfinder yet? It kinda sounds like you don't have that capability? I'm sure another rescue in your area would help out if he's not up there.

They are sturdy collars but it's best to take them off when they are playing anyway but what if play escalates into a fight? you wouldnt have the collar to grab ahold of...is there something different a person could do to manage two collarless dogs that get out of control? You're there to supervise...

Another vote for Ella's Lead. I actually just ordered some custom control leads for the rescue last night. They're gonna be a little more versatile and easier on the hands than your normal animal control slip leads and I'm super excited about them :) Strong dogs need strong leads and I'm confident i...

lol Like I said, I'm half serious. Mia has been sitting with me since April and we've had a helluva time finding someone who's serious, who won't leave her outdoors 24/7, who's other pets are fixed, who know how to deal with a drivey, confident dog etc. lol Probably not such a fair trade though huh?...

Hell, I'll trade you!

You can take Mia, a healthy, adoptable girl and I can take Ms. Sassy Pants who can chill out with me for a while :)

I am kinda half serious lol !
