Stick around here and you'll do fine :) Fortunately, Deja learned not to mouth and play bite very quickly. That is one thing that she is freaking STELLAR about. One thing I'm proud of for having worked with her on. Even when playing with other dogs, she is extremely conscious of her mouth and how ha...

Well, today I joined the ranks of collarmania customers. I'm definately excited and can't wait to get the collars....I bought 4  And I still don't know how I'm going to bring it to my BF's attention that yes, I just spent over $100 on collars for the dogs... Guess he'll find out when th...

See, I've been wondering these same things regarding Cyrus. Cyrus never barks unless he's excited while playing. I've never heard him bark at another dog. Cyrus *has* been in a fight before. As a matter of fact, right before I was supposed to pick him up from the rescue. It was with another neutered...

Welcome! And definately read the stickies! I see you brought him home at about 5 weeks old. You're probably going to have your hands full because he missed out on the doggy training momma and littermates would have given him. You'll be fine, but you need to be sure to take extra care to have him soc...

Bless you! That's a tough spot to be in but it makes me smile knowing that people are willing to go that extra step for their pets. I love my bf's parents because they are one of the few people that I know that go that extra mile.

Once again, great news!

Deaf dogs need special assistance because, obviously, they can't hear anything you say or yell or whatever. You also took several steps back by hitting him with your hand and other objects. Why should he trust you now? I'm not bashing, just trying to be real. Things you should work on with him are s...

Yay! That's GREAT news! My bf's parents have an allergy afflicted dog (some yorkie mix) and they still have to be cautious about everything. She's allergic to certain foods and grasses. They just had a new driveway installed to their detached garage in back and had to buy grass seed for the new bare...

Welcome! Most of those bloodlines aren't bred to the APBT standard. Most people flaunting those bloodlines are just marketing the sales of their dogs. Not all, but most. Check out http://www.apbtconformation.com I love how in depth that site is for explaining the breed standard so well. :) So, how'd...

Hell yeah Tigerbeck, I feel ya. I am sensing an uptight attitude around here too. I mean if I were to say I feed my dog meat, which I used to becuase I worked at Kroger on facility maintenance and I would get meat from the butcher and portion it and freeze it. Id mix it in with his food sometimes r...

thanks. i knew those sites had them i jsut wasnt sure of WHY they were better. but thanks. If you do a search here, there are threads exclusively for each of the major collar companies that were recommended. I don't know what else yo were looking to gain but those posts would be your best bet. Pers...

I agree with 6pak on the neutering. In other words though on the playing: I was nervous with Deja and Cyrus at first as well. Cyrus is obviously extremely powerful in comparision to my chunky pup. But after supervising them play for the last two months, its just how they play. Cyrus is the one alway...
