When Marley was little we went to the vet once a week. They also sell toys and treats in the office so we would go in, he would get weighed, say hello to the assistants in the waiting room (scale is also in waiting room), do some obedience, and pick himself out a squeaky ball (his favourite toy)... ...

I think copper metallic would show off her brindle really nicely.

I have a pink collar and a purple collar (not collarmania) for Carrie (also brindle) and they look funny with her brindle colors but I think Carrie is more orange than piper.

I use a sporn collar but I also just started rally obedience classes and I'm thinking that it is going offer more benefit than any harness will ever provide. So I think a combination of trainin & tools is the way to go! I have to agree... any tool that works for you is great, but continuing tra...

There was a dog reactive? GSD (or at least one that would go bonkers every time a dog moved) in our training class with Marley... no one cared, they just set some chairs up so he was a little more divided from the class and able to focus... he got better as the classes went on. I wouldn't worry abou...

We just bought an 'anti-pull harness' at Walmart... I think it was about $13, and it works fine. Mine don't pull crazy, but Marley pulls HARD when he does. I find even if I take him out with a flat collar on now he's learned more where he is supposed to walk... it's similar to a Sporn harness: http:...

Marley got into some toxic stuff when he was a puppy... (he ate ibuprofen, we have no idea how he got it out of the medicine cabinet... unless the cat tried to poison him).... Anyway, it made him unable to hold pee for about a month (he'd pee while trotting around the house without noticing), he had...

The stuff Mike posted looks great... but our dog run is 32' x 64' so that would be $7399.00 to carpet it... I think I'll stick with leaving the baby wipes beside the door to wipe the mud off, but if I win the lottery I'm going to put stuff like that over my entire acre

I bought a 100 foot rope from Home Depot for $15.99, some buckles and clips (about $5 for everything) and made a rope that's 100 feet long. There's buckles on either end of mine (I hold the middle, and each dog gets 50 feet) I taught them that me yelling 'go easy' means they are about to hit the end...

my motto is life is too short and I'll get plenty of sleep when I'm dead. I like that motto! Because I work nights and have to sleep during the day, it's screwed my system all up (I've been doing it for 3 years)... so now I rarely sleep more than 4 or 5 hours during a day. On the plus si...

I'm a big vote for get the dog neutered. It would probably stop the marking in the house, and will help with his urges to go out and roam the neighbourhood. If you're not breeding him, there's no reason to keep him intact. It's like making the poor dog live with a constant case of blue balls... he c...
