Re: Stinky Breath

You hit the nail on the head. He is most likely having what we call "stank breath" from his butt licking. It's gross, but every time I bathe the dogs I express their anal glands. (get gloves...HOLD YOUR BREATH...i am not joking you will vomit immediately from the smell) Some dogs just have...

Re: What is this?

It was removed today, along with 2 of her front incisors that were loose. She is up, and doing well. Luckily my sister works at this clinic and has been able to monitor her. I was worried about putting her under bc she seems to have labored breathing when resting. We've mentioned it before and he sa...

Re: What is this?

Wiggy had an appt this morning.
It is a histiocytoma, and the Dr wants to remove it.

I don't want to sedate her at her age. She is a senior. We recently had a blood panel done this year and everything is fine.

Is it necessary to have these removed? Can they be treated and heal on their own?

Re: Hello from john and axel from texas!

Hello fellow Texan! Welcome! You have come to the right place :) Your puppy is a pit bull. His eye color does not determine anything. You will find out more as time goes on! You are asking all of the right questions. Be patient with him. They pick up things quickly so dont worry! Your puppy will nee...

Re: Who's Had Hives?

Well! It is October and the warm season is coming to a close. I am SO PROUD TO SAY THAT WE HAD NO HIVES this season. We did it!!! I didnt have to use anything special. Dozer has been eating Taste Of The Wild for about 2+ years now and has little to no issues with his skin. Now itching is another sto...

Re: Wierd auto immune condition..anyone seen this?

Do a search on HIVES. You will find that a lot of us have been in your shoes. In my experience with Dozer- his is seasonal allergies. He will get hives in the warm season. We kept him on benadryl for weeks, and eventually found that a low dose of prednizone (sp)/steroid kept the hives away! I hated ...

Re: Leaving a dog alone for 12+ hours

Yikes. 12 hours?!?! That just seems like a long time. I wouldn't ask my dog to hold it for that long.... I'd have to come home on my lunch break or hire a friend/family to come by. I wouldn't say it is "cruel" or anything, but if there are available options I would certainly jump on those ...

Re: Hi from Indiana

I dont know about your pit bull, but ONE of my 2, is pretty damn mindless roflmao . She has no regard for you or her own personal safety...especially during 'zoomies'. :)

Welcome to PBF.
Your intro is NO good without pictures!! :P

Hey! Welcome to the forum!
Do you have any pictures?
We like all kinds of pit bulls here, but I myself am like you...I prefer the ones that don't resemble a small hippo. :)
