Dozer's Vet Visit- not good

I made Wub an appt. Wednesday evening. The vet wants to remove the bump on his tail, and also on his head. He aspirated the one on his tail and looked at the cells on a slide. He said they dont seem too alarming, but abnormal enough to remove the bumps and send them off to make sure they are not mal...

Re: Ati has hives!

Koda went to a friends house over the weekend and came home with these exact hives. She was unattended , and tied up for a couple of hours. The bf could still watch her from the window, and she of course wanted to be inside. I thought at first mosquito bites, but some of the welps are much fatter th...

Re: Tell me about CET chews

My Mom used to get CET chews from the vet clinic for Dozer. He would scarf them down in about 15 minutes, and usually choke on it. I told her not to give them to him about the 2nd time I saw him gagging from trying to swallow it whole... :mmm:

Re: Please think of her

I'm really not sure what to say. I've watched Tigger grow over my years on this board, she was always my fav here. She seemed like such a special dog and now she is your special angel. I cried when I started reading this post, but deep down I knew Tig was a fighter and I thought she'd make it. You ...

Re: Please think of her

I just saw this, and there's nothing anyone can really say to make that feeling stop. I am so very sorry that you're going through this. Im sending you strong thoughts and as I cuddle my pit bull tonight I will think of you and Tiggy. There isnt enough time in a life time with these dogs. :hug...

Re: "Danzig" My 6 month old having siezures

My cocker spaniel suffered from seizures when I was a kid. I knew very little about dogs at that age. I did notice any exposure to heat or excitement would trigger a seizure. The Phenobarbital worked wonders for us and she was down to a mild dosage once a day. She was fine and lived a long 14 yrs! :...

Re: Hives?

If you search on the forum for "Hives" , you'll notice it's pretty common here. I know a few of us here have dogs that suffer from seasonal hives. Dozer hasn't had ANY since we switched to Taste Of The Wild. He used to have mosquito bite sized hives all down his back and down his legs. He ...

Re: Doc's at the vet

I second that! Dozer will not eat until I come home. He will save his breakfast and eat it with dinner when I get home from work. When I send him to Grandmas for Xmas, she has to put "specials" in his food like plain white rice just so he will touch it. Maybe Doc will get an appetite after...

Cat Food?

What do you feed your cats? I have heard dry food can cause urinary/kidney issues. I'm starting to believe it bc my family cats have all been on dry food. 2 out of the 5 we've had have been diagnosed with urinary problems and or cancer in their endocrine systems. I want to switch Stewie from this Pu...
