Nutro Natural Choice is comparable to Eukanuba, but Nutro Max is not good at all IMO.

If you want something good in that price range, try Diamond Naturals. $30/40 lbs.

I've heard people like Blue Buffalo and its on the cheapER side.
Personally I feed Taste of the Wild, it runs about $55.00 for a 30lb bag.

Holy cow that's a lot. ToTW here is about $42/30 lbs. Have you tried shopping around for it?

Puppy food for all of them... STRICT portion and treat control for the overweight dog. I agree, I would just do puppy for everyone or something All-life-stages like Taste of the Wild. For the overweight one, cut the kibble back, but add something high fiber to satisfy the appetite without adding ex...

Diamond Naturals is a good brand, very decently priced also. About $30-ish for 40 lbs of food.

Which Taste of the Wild formula are you using? I had my pack on the Prairie Beef/Vension, and they itched like there was no tomorrow and shedded a ton. I changed them all to the Wetlands, and they did much better. You may also try a food specifically for allergy dogs like Natural Balance or Californ...

If she's not eating it within 5-10min., pick it up and offer it the next meal. With multiple dogs in the house you should not leave the food out all day. It's better to feed 1-2x a day and pick it up within 10min. if they refuse to eat it. I agree. My dogs are all fed in their crates, I think dogs ...

It's a general rule of thumb, of course there are exceptions. It was right on the money for Duke and Shelby.

At 6 months, they're pretty much through their large growth spurt. She will continue to grow, just not as fast. If you want to get an idea of what she will weigh, take her weight at 4 months and multiply it by 2. That will give you a ballpark figure.

Check out the "Low Cost/Spay neutering" sticky at the top of this section, you might find something in there. You could also call your local humane society and ask if they know of any places that will do it at low cost. Do not let her around male dogs while she is in heat. She needs to be ...

two of my three had Demodex as puppies and we used oral Ivermectin to treat it. It worked really well for Duke, but Shelby was very sensitive to it and we discontinued it (huge pupils, vomiting, lethargy, disorientation). A lot of the times, the small spots will fix themselves, but you have to watch...

Taste of the Wild is a great food. I fed it to my pack, including Shelby when she was a growing pup, and they all did great.
