Re: Shelter closed, these guys need help

100% forever trumps 110% ready... he needs you. I don't think any of us are ever THAT ready - it's a leap of faith they need us to take. How's that for prodding?

Re: Brina - another surgery

Little red/red nose dogs always look so incredibly pathetic. Maybe it's all the pink in their face, I don't know. When Cobi was sick, she looked so miserable... just like your girl. :( Feel better Brina!

Re: Columbus, MS

I can't tell from this article - is it breed specific or are they merely saying that some dogs in the city limits who have been deemed dangerous are pit bulls... not deemed dangerous BECAUSE they are pit bulls?

Re: excercise when it is cold.

It was 18 to 22 here for a week and a half and both my 2 were out without jackets for an hour run with me down at the fields. They run off lead so they must put in 6 or more miles b/c I do 4 and they're flying the whole time. I feed more when it's that cold. They were also running hills and playing ...

Re: question for all the male owners out there

I think it's so funny that people worry about this - mostly guys. Do you lift YOUR leg when you pee? Have you tried it? ;) Coal was 7 months old. Emmitt was 5 months old. Cobi was 2 when I got her and she marked over the boys. Audry marks over the boys. BOTH my girls lift their legs... both my boys ...

Re: Quality Of Life versus Pain Management.

Hey Libby,

Is the vg750 the same kind of stuff as the Pain Plus? One of our vets uses Pain Plus as a regular thing with dogs who are wearing out - says you can use if WAYYYYYY longer than Rim, etc.

Re: Mr.StinkyButt

So our vet does an infusion of antibiotics instead of - or maybe in addition to - the oral antibiotics. He said on bigger dogs that helps quite quickly and easily heals up. I don't know of any vets here who recommend removal - I had a girl being adopted who ruptured her anal gland (the day before ad...
