Re: Tivoli

If I find a spot for him I will come get him. My folks live in Bend and I LOVE Bend. It's a shortish drive to Prineville. I will keep trying for a spot for him... not that many people I know who DON'T have cats right now... don't ask. I wonder, if pushed, if they'll video him on a dog/dog test. Woul...

Re: Tivoli

TEST him, test him, test him with everyone (animal) you can. I don't care if he's good with cats, that's just my only open foster right now - not that we can't find another and, believe me, I'm looking. As is Violet. :)

Re: Tivoli

I'll look for foster... the only one I can think of has a cat and she lives in the city - she's a lovely woman, in college, seasoned foster home... we'll see.

Re: Red bumps and itchy skin?

Benadryl takes care of that - quickly. I get that all over my arms and legs when I run in grass and it will turn to full blown hives if I don't water down. It's allergies - I get the same thing if I hug the dogs after they've been running in grass.

Re: Current DRAW Dogs

Jack came through round one of surgery in fine style! They removed the patch of skin from his eyeball - it was a BIG patch they took off (like 3/4 of his eyeball is - um - debrided). His other eye is coming out in a month - maybe less if he's healing quickly and is relatively comfortable. This one w...

Re: Traumeel, holistic pain med

We use arnica a lot. Bruising, whatever... always on the arnica. I use it on myself, too. They're tiny round white pills that are 'melt in your mouth'. They taste sweet like sugar. No big deal. I've used Traumeel for years. No issues that I can see or have seen but, I'm not a vet.

Re: My poor Ice

AHH! That sucks. So sorry to hear this - poor Ice!

Emmitt did it when he was 10, we did the TPLO and I kept him on lead for 6 months. At 11, he ran 8 miles with me. There's good outcome for the TPLO's.

Many soothing, healing thoughts!

Re: Looking for cure

Did she have a head tile, seizures, nausea, inability to walk? Could it be vestibular syndrome? Look up 'old dog vestibular'. On the other hand, it could be some other form of ataxia... I had to let my old boy go once the cerebellar ataxia put too many restrictions on him. I think, usually, that sho...

Re: need time sensitive advice - fractured and chipped teeth

weighing in with yet another opinion... I'd have it pulled (and have 3 times on 3 different dogs). If it was a canine, I'd cap it which I will do with Coal when his breaks... which it's bound to do.

Good luck!
