Re: Is he bow legged? PICS included.

My puppy was down in the pasterns and fast growing so we followed the site RELIGIOUSLY even though, typically, I would have switched to raw. They are on raw now but while he was a pup, I stuck to this entire program and, outside of a slight turnout of his left front, he's totally fine. http://greatd...

Re: GSD Puppy with Megaesophagus

I think ME is so hard to get a hold of. I think acupuncture and the typical management stuff can really work well but it isn't easy for a rescue OR adopter. It's really hard to watch them suffer - have you had good luck maintaining it? Anything new on the horizon to treat it?

Re: How do we get all shelters to allow adoptions of bullies?

Seattle certainly DOES allow adoption of bull breeds. Where did you hear we didn't? SAC is pit bull friendly, as is Bellevue Humane (for the most part), Olympia A.S., others out of the Puget Sound area are also - some other aren't but Seattle DEFINITELY adopts out pit bulls.

OHIO contacts, please

Ok, does anyone, anywhere, have ANY Ohio (Fremont, OH) contacts - around Toledo will be helpful. I'm running down to the wire on this one and I need to get a dog to the airport in Michigan next weekend. Please send me contact info and please crosspost this far and wide.

Thanks - kirstan

Re: My rescue ( from introduction page, so i can keep upadated)

this what i was afraid of. ^^^^ i don't need your or attitude or negativity . I guess you don't know what happens to people in the ghetto for snitching. She'll do it always no matter what. I feel good that i saved 11 dogs and i can control who they go to. Settle down, it's hard when a lot of us hav...

Fremont, OH, English Bulldog - need an assess, please!

She's in Sandusky County Dog Kennel. She's an English Bulldog - Sugar. I need a general (as much as you can in shelter) dog/dog assess and tell me if she's generally a nice find. She's in ROUGH shape. My SIL is looking for an English and we'd like to take one out of shelter, if possible. They have a...

Re: My rescue ( from introduction page, so i can keep upadated)

No judgement - good for you. Yes, she'll do it again. Of course. This mom and these pups are o.k. IT's a bad situation all the way around. Maybe she'll be too busy with her horrible kids to pick up another one. Doubt it but it doesn't hurt to be hopeful. Mom looks like she could use some good days.

Re: Can anyone help this guy?

If you want to send him to E. Or. & they really can take him, I can help pay for transportation and am sure we could get the FABB list to drum up a little cash.

Re: TRANSPORT help needed - Pendleton, OR to Ellensburg, WA

Here's my 'contribution of opinion' to this transport b/c I've done a number of them through that area. Have him to got Pendleton, from Pendleton to Walla Walla, Walla Walla to RIchland, Richland to EBurg then onto his seattle-ish rescue. It's hard to split up legs for a dog like this into a bunch o...

Re: TRANSPORT help needed - Pendleton, OR to Ellensburg, WA

This is so funny - small world we live in. This dog is going to be fostered by a friend of mine who's just been approved to foster for this rescue. I opened the email b/c it said Pendleton and I was born there... weird. Anyway, have you tried Paws Across Northwest? Michelle is brilliant at getting d...

Re: Has anyone used NU-STOCK for Mange?

Hi, one more thing for the mange diagnosis - see if they can do a hair follicle sample instead of the scrape. Dogs who've come back more than a couple times with a diagnosis of 'no mites present' in the MULTIPLE scrapings, came back with mites present when we ran a hair follicle sample. Just a thoug...

Re: Has anyone used NU-STOCK for Mange?

I used IVO (for cattle) after the allergist told me it was fine to buy. I spent $40 on it instead of way more. A small savings but a savings nonetheless. We did the Iver at small doses increased weekly with specific lists of side effects to watch for and an emergency # on the bottom of the instructi...

Re: Cocoa is looking for a safe landing, WA state

I have a few potentials for the baby - Farley. I have him now - LOVELY puppy. Tulip got here and they will go play for a while and Tulip will start her new life with Stacey on the farm! Farley is one nice pup. Easy. Violet, any chance you can foster him if I sponsor him and, of course, get all leads...
