I'll keep an eye on this thread. I'm about to adopt a 11 week old pup and my vet is telling me I can run with him with no problem. I was pretty sure you are not supposed to push them that hard when they are under two years of age.

According to my vet 10 to 12 weeks is the perfect time , but it can be done up to 5 months, but that's pushing it.

I'm on the west side of Chicago. We have only looked at two shelters (4 dogs). There are another 6 shelters within a 30 mile radius. We'll do some more looking this weekend. :)
