Duke is about 7 months and we used to bathe him once a week because he too would have the really strong doggie smell...no matter what he was fed (I think it has to do with the ridiculous humidity, because the doggy smell is really strong when he comes inside) . I just ordered some Veterinarian's Be...

I would get a skin scraping. Check for mites, yeast, and bacteria. You CAN'T get a definitive diagnosis from external observation only. Also, you said the vet said she is too young for another test? That's not true. They are never too young for a skin scraping. You mention that she stinks after onl...

it takes a few minutes to do a mange scraping. i dont see why your vet isnt doing one just to be on the safe side.. while it is possible for a puppy to get allergies at 3 months old, most dogs get allergies between 1-7 years old.. Shelbys just shy of 5 months which (according to the vet) is to youn...

She said if she had mange there would be some type of hairloss and there is none. She also noticed her lips and around the eye lids were a slightly redish, said they are signs of allergies. If there is no improvemnt in a week we will seek a 2nd opinion.

Just finished up at the vet, she suspects allergies and gave us some antihistamine and antibiotics and a shampoo. I asked about other test she could do to fid out exactly what is causing it. She said she is to young, as she may be allergic to something now and latter on be fine. Right now her body i...

Its normal for them to itch the spot for a little while after application. Its like putting sunscreen in your hair, it feels funny. If she continues to itch JUST that spot for more than a day, then she's probably having a reaction to the Frontline plus and you should try something different for nex...
