Wart? Ingrown Hair? Infected Cut? WORSE?

Jack has had this little bump on his muzzle for awhile. The last time he was at the vet I showed them. They said it was probably either a cut that he got or a wart. It had looked dry and pink/grey before. I noticed today that it looked darker/red like it's either bleeding or blood is very close to t...

Have a serious talk with everyone in the house that interacts with the dog as well and explain to them what the inconsistent behavior is setting them up for. Tell them what NILIF is and how to use it.

Good post!

I too like the idea of going back to basics. Work on proofing behaviors like sit, down, stay, watch me, etc. That's what jack is working on now. He still gets so excited but he's fairly food motivated.

Hey ...good for you on not giving up!

Sometimes we get so stressed out we don't know what to do, we feel overwhelmed and just can't see past the stress to a solution. I'm glad you've made it through that part and are back in the game to say. Hopefully a different angle will help you and the vet.

I skimmed it earlier today, I honestly hadn't noticed it before. They say the road to hell is paved with good intentions and today I felt that. Hopefully the other dogs will be fine. Rebel is acting a little under the weather, not eating. Poop is normal though and no vomiting. She thinks he may have...

Jack loses a toy to the garbage as soon as he pulls any stuffing out. I can't trust him not to eat the stuffing.

A very good rule of thumb is to avoid as much medicine as possible. It has nothing to do with manning up, or being a cheap skate, drugs are bad mmmkay. I find your position...interesting. By no means should someone OVER medicate but appropriate medication is meant to be helpful and most medications...

Jack is microchipped (both used frequencis) through Banfield. As far as I know it is a one time fee. It doesn't have as many amenities as the home again chip but it serves the same purpose assuming he gets scanned for a chip at all. Hopefully the little bugger will never get away.

But the pup, according to your earlier post, was not vetted by YOU. I commend you for trying to help, that isn't what everyo...

How Fast Does Your Dog Destroy Toys?

I try my best to get Jack tough toys. He has no interest in the rubber ones. I don't know if it's the taste or just the fact that they can't be "eaten". So I try to get him tough canvas ones. I just bought some "battle tested" "ballistic nylon" soft toys. Yeah, he destr...
