One thing I noticed when we gave our dog an egg a day was the awful gas it gave him. It was awful and smelled like sulfur (for obvious reasons). It was mostly eliminated when we gave them every other day.

I'm sooo jealous of everyone that has extra freezers! I want one desperately, but we don't really have room for it in our tiny crappy basing housing "apartment".

When I was visiting my mom a few weeks ago Sabot split one of his back toenails down to the quick. I took him to my mom's vet and she suggested having the toenail amputated, which I ended up doing. They sedated him and basically just cut it really short past the split and gave me some antibiotics an...

After a month and a half of not hearing anything from HomeAgain about Sabot's chip enrollment I finally called today. As it turns out, they are not sending out notices that your dog's microchip has been enrolled. I guess you just have to call to find out for yourself from now on.

Wow. Thanks for all the info, Holligan! I didn't noticed the spot on his nail until yesterday during his bath. Before and after his bath he'd been running around like a mad man, so I guess it is possible it's not a yeast infection. Would it be okay if I watched it for a few days to see if it gets wo...

I looked at the apple cider vinegar that I have and this is what it says, "All natural. Ingredients: apple cider vinegar and water. Reduced to 5% acidity for uniform pickling and table strength." Will this work or should I go look for some at a health food store?

Yeast Infection? & Oil of Oregano Q

I was giving my pup a bath earlier and while I was cleaning his feet I noticed one of his nails was slightly discolored at the top. In another thread it was mentioned that this is a sign of a yeast infection. So, I guess what I want to know is if that is what this looks like. http://pic70.picturetra...

Sabot does the exact same thing.

Did Ziggy have more than one spot of it? It seems like Sabot is getting at least one more spot everyday. So far, they've all been really small. About how long does it take to get results form a scraping? The only reason I ask is because I'm going on a trip in three weeks and Sabot is going with me. ...

Balding Patches

I did a search and I wasn't able to really find what I was looking for. A few days ago I noticed a little patch of thin hair on my pups side. I've been watching it since then and I've noticed a few more that weren't there before. I have a few pics of them to show. This is his right side, the first p...

Thanks for the reply! I cant see what it would hurt to upgrade him, better than having him break apart the puppy kong and choke or get a blockage. I was actually thinking the same thing, but I wanted to be sure before I did anything. Actually, now that I think of it, he doesn't really chew on his ei...

Kong and new adult teeth

My pup has all of his adult teeth, with the exception of his canines which are still growing in, and he's 5 months old. Is it time to switch him to a red Kong or should I stay with the puppy Kong?

Wow, I'll definitely keep checking to make sure he's registered with them! That's awful that a vet wouldn't send the paperwork in! I can see that happening with mine ... So far we've only seen the vet on base and I don't have the greatest impression of them.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. I just saw the "Activate now" sticker on the back of the tag they gave me and it made me wonder. Thanks!
