I think my dogs use large and they're only about 45lbs. I don't know their neck size though.

Our trainer taught us with the prong collar and treats. If the dog forges ahead of you, then you give them a correction, then you give them a treat when they do the correct behaviour. Or give the correction and once they are at your side again give them the treat.

Petsmart in Windsor is more expensive than the little guys, but has almost everything I need. That's the only reason I go there. ( Other than the fact that they let me leave a petition in there for a month and a half)

I've hand fed my pits, since they were 8 weeks old, to prevent any food aggression. I also give them their bones and take them away as I please, so they were always used to it. But starting that now with an adult dog is playing with fire, especially with little kids involved. I would definately talk...

That's,the problem with Loca. I'll be snuggling her on the couch and then a bell will sound on TV and she darts off my lap to see what or who is invading our house. In the meantime, she's gouged my stomach or face using me as a launchpad taking off at a 1000 miles per hour(slight exaggeration)

It MAY be true since he worded it as it "might" take that long. Leo is 17 months old and the guy I got him from says he has one of the best grips/drives of any of the dogs he's imported and/or trained.

Are your Pits involved too?

There are alot of deaf white pits. However, mine is the exception! Her hearing is TOO good. Every little sound she hears, she barrels us down to investigate.

Schutzhund Question?

I was told by someone at dog training( who also is involved in Schutzhund) that it may take several years to get a German Shepard to want to hang on during bite work and to have that drive, is this true?
