If you weren't feeding raw, would you still be feeding Merrick? Rendering plant huh? Did you think animal parts grew on bushes? It has to be processed somewhere.. I actually feel a bit better knowing that they process their own stuff rather than it coming form overseas.. While I am a bit disturbed ...

Well, both the dermatologist back in the Lou and this vet recommended the same guy down in cleveland, so hopefully once we get established with him, (the dermatologist) we will have a better response to the fact that she does, in fact, have allergies. We did get a followup call today from a tech, an...

Well, the thing is the vet that diagnosed the allergies is several hundred miles away. (we moved to ohio from missouri in july) I really wanted to take her back to have her spay done there, but I don't get any vacation until I have been at my job a year (crappy I know, but jobs aren't too plentiful ...

We decided to go ahead and have the procedure done, although I am FURIOUS with the vet atm. No pain meds were sent home, and when we called asking for them, we were blown off like drug-seeking lunatics, the vet tech stating that they dont prescribe them, and the actual vet never returned the call. T...

Whoa, go vicki..my dogs have never been fast enough to catch the little b@stards. (no love lost on squirrels, they are cute until they have uprooted every plant and flowerpot they can get their furry lil paws on..) my opinion on tree-rats, i mean squirrels well-established, I don't let Kira chase th...

My stepdad always made our..very much like you described, but minus the heat.. He was pretty crafty, the one our husky had had leftover shingles and siding, discarded paneling and insulation from our home addition.. I know I have seen ads in the classified (think small local farming/amish community ...

Thanks pitfriend! Here's the other thing..what is in that chewable tablet? What flavor is it? Kira has food allergies, and can't have any poultry or eggs. I know for a fact certain vaccines/medicines comes from eggs. These like everything else cause her to hive and itch, resulting in hair loss, yeas...

factors for spay incontinence

Ok, so Kira goes in for her spay tomorrow, and I am having some major apprehension.. I have heard about spay incontinence, and wonder if anyone knows what factors make a dog more likely to get it? I am worried because I have read it appears be related to hormones (or lack thereof actually) and Kira ...

I feed Kira the Wellness Fish and Sweet potato in rotation with teh the Natural Balance Fish and Sweet potato Eh, it's okay in that it doesn't make her hive up, but it does tend to give her loose stools. The simple solutions venison, while containing a protien I know she can have, made her hive, but...

My seven-month old has JUST started pitching a fit when she has to go back into hers at lunch (I come home to feed and potty from work) so while I have no better solutions, I do offer sympathy...I feel so mean putting her back in there, even if I know its for her own good.
