My 1st rescue............kinda graphic but i've seen worse!

Here are a few pictures of my 1st rescue/ attempt. Some of you may remember my post from a couple of months ago about getting started. Well, this baby needed me for sure. He belongs to the VP of my local club who shows dogs in the AADR & ADBA. He's getting ready to go overseas, so he sent him to...

Thanks for the info everyone- unfortunately i'm still as confused as ever. there are no local shelters to go to, so we may end up just starting a rescue out right. The closest shelters are 45 min, and 1hr 30 mins away, so to me that's not local. As of right now, if someones animal is picked up by th...

Well, this isn't vital info.... But I was going to post a similar question this am, so I am interested in the responses. Good Luck! i'm speaking more so to the people who would leave negative comments, but thanks and good luck to you as well. Hopefully we can all end up working together to help our...

Where and how do I start?

I want to apologize now, buut this a long post Okay this is what i've been thinking... i just bought a house a few weeks ago- huge backyard, fenced in of course. if she loves apple slices, and carrots why not stick with those as long as they aren't causing her allergies? I would also try to just give her tidbits of her daily intake if you're using treats as a training method- that way you know that the only thing she's eating is the california naturals

i'm extremely interested in starting raw but i don't feel that i have researched enough to do it yet- ie: i have no idea where to start.... i tried letting him eat a chicken leg which went pretty well, but that's as far as i got with it. I would need a personal session with an experienced feeder bec...

Well, since there are no Las Vegas stores listed, I absolutely must add my 2 cents. Bone Appetit on Tropicana and Fort Apache is the best store i have ever been to. They are extremely pitbull friendly, you can bring your dogs in, they give out treats galore, and are people friendly too 8) They carry...

It's not just you.....it's us as newbies we have yet to break into the pack. We have a lot to add to the community, but no one really knows us yet, so we usually just get ignored. I feed my crew Canidae and 1 40 lb bag lasts me about 5 weeks. I have a 15 month old pittie(48 lbs), a 3 month old pitti...

honestly, i think it's more or less a mystery. I will be honest in saying that Bonez tail was almost completely healed when i had him on Lundquist foods, but he stopped eating it, and so i put him on NV raw/ Canidae because i heard it was better quality food, but now i'm getting ready to put him bac...

Here's some pics of my babies tail, he has the same problem, and no results from the vet as well. Puzzled actually, so switched to Canidae, just in case it's allergies.....Also noticed that after playing with him I get all itchy so, I thought it was mites, but vet says no. :frown: http://i138.photob...
