See, I liked the 3 shot idea, but they told me that was two shots 24 hours apart and then another 30 days later. The two shot deal they are talking about is two shots 30 days apart. Shes no longer pregnant. She was spayed last Thrusday. My vet went ahead and did the spay even though she was heartworm+ because they felt it was the best chance, and I spay/neuter all the dogs that come in, pregnant or not.

I didnt even realize there were home treatments! I was referring to different vet treatments. I know some do two shots and some do three, was wondering the pros and cons of each and what else was available.

On another note, what in the world do you do with the hot dogs?

People never cease to amaze me! This girlw as tied by a NOOSE to a tree. She was pregnant and tested positive for heartworms (stage 2). This is the first heartworm + pup I have had at the rescue. I was thinking about something the other day. If a dog gets Parvo, how soon after his recovery do you vaccinate again? Will vaccinating after he has had parvo cause it to outbreak again? seriously, I love his walk... he struts like nothing Ive ever seen on a dog, he has the doggie body builder build... 6 pack and all.... just on his rear!

I wish someone else had been there to see him strut earlier... theres a female mastif in the yard behind my house, and he saw her .... it was hillarious, each step took several seconds, tail high, just a strutin' it like he was on the runway!!
