Well I was only thinking collarmania because of the quality. I want something I can depend on. I also want to be able to give him a quick correction and be done with it. And I don't like the half chain ones they have in petstores, another reason why I was thinking collarmania. Unless you know of ano...

martingale collars on puppies?

So, is this a good idea or not? Dobbyn has already almost grown out of his store bought collar and I was wondering if it was better to get an adjustable martingale from collarmania that will grow with him, or if I should just keep getting next size up in collars. I also want to collar train him, ins...

are the poops still normal? Dobbyn has been pooping about 4 times a day, but i figure thats puppyness, the switch of food, and getting to know a new family/routine still. He's good on two out or 4 poops, and the other two are a little loose but nothing extreme.. they smell funky though. lmao i cant...

Thank you both. I'm goign to start contacting the people recommended and see where to go from here. Elegy, the place you recommended is only an hour away from my house. Not bad at all. Julie K also put me in contact with the Tri-County dog training club which is about an hour and a half from my hous...

As far as the dog parks go, I thought the same thing you did when I had my Sadie. She developed aggression issues because I was trying to socialize her in a dog park. She got to the point where she couldn't be around any dogs because she would become supersensitive and on alert (only way to describe...

In the house he's my shadow, so we don't have a lot of issues there. I leash him, walk him around the house and he's at just about a perfect heel at most speeds. Out in the backyard, same thing. His problem is he's sooo damn observant and needs to stop every few sidewalk blocks to see what the actio...

No, thats not the trainers last name. I tried to contact Cerra before about Sadie and she wasn't able to travel to my house and didnt think it woudl be beneficial to meet in scranton. *Shrug* I really would like a trainer who knows decent group training. I want to socialize Dobbyn with people and do...

Yeah, thats what I was thinking. I thought the rule of thumb was that you dont prong a dog until its about 7mnths to a year? She was telling me about how its the only safe collar to use on any dog of any age because of the same ammount of pressure it gives around the whole neck, okay, but if used wr...

Are there any good trainers in my area? Seriously!

So, the Petco on my area finally got a trainer. She has her credientials (trainer for over 30 years, national level dogs, CGC trainer, etc.) and pictures posted of her with 5 GSD in a field. The other employees raved about how awesome she was with obedience training, but was pretty scary within some...

I'm not entirely sure... thats why I wanted to ask. My other pit's legs are normal looking and his back is generally level. Dobbyn's back end is much higher than the front.
