Sad thing is I've tried all of these. I've been trained on using every type of collar and because of how she turns her head or something they all slip down - thats why I thought maybe the Illusion Collar might work. We've tried - (in no particular order) - flat buckle, trad. choke chain, prong colla...

I'm glad you found a behavioralist and he seems like he really knows his stuff! Good luck and work hard these next two weeks.

Have you and Billy talked anymore on what your next step is with the dogs? If working on them is enough for him, or if he still wants to get rid of a dog?

Illusion Collar

Hey - Anyone know how well this works? I'm thinking of purchasing one and wasn't sure if anyone here had any experience with it. I have a problem with Sadie that collars don't stay up on her neck like I try to get them to. After a correction or two they slid back down to the bottom of her neck, this...

Do the potential adopters have another dog? If not, she might not have this type of SA with them (not to say, she might not have SA). It seems the SA is more stemmed from another dog having all the attention she feels she should have. Also - if they are the go-everywhere, go-anywhere type of people,...

Some lady in my area did a study on advantix and frontline. She also called the companies to verify what she found out. Advantix does work against fleas, ticks, and mosq. however it is not water proof. The advantix company stated that if you wanted continued coverage you would need to apply it every...

Sadie started aroun 9mnths of age being dog selective. She would love to eat small dogs. She would love to chew on medium sized dogs. And she loves to try and bully dogs that are 3xs her size. lol. She's a firecracker, I never know what to expect. However, I think Sadie is more misunderstood than an...

This is the only advice here that guarantees that the two dogs will not tear into each other. All other advice here may work, or if you try any of it, your next thread may be under "Health Issues" concerning your torn up dog. They have a history of "scuffling" over items, DA has...

I went through a similar situation with Sadie and my sisters dog Mookie (two females). I did everything that was recommended and then I started to crate and rotate. It was just easier on everyone. After a few weeks of strict crate and rotate we began to reintroduce them out in the backyard where the...

Sry for DP. Just went to the website and saw you're from Berwick. I'm within the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton area.

I'm going to talk to my family tonight about fostering and helping your rescue.
