Haha - yeah I "think" he's a shepherd/pit mix.. but I'm not 100% sure. I'll see what he grows up to be. It was just an odd realization when we really looked at his legs a few days after adopting him. lol Do shepherd normally have different length in legs? He's my special boy. Thats for sure.

Back legs are longer???

Anyone else's dog have two different length legs? Dobbyn is quite awkward as it is with his huge paws, but we have noticed that his legs are also two different lengths. His front legs are about 13.5inches and his back legs are about 17.0inches. Thats a 3.5 difference! Am I going to have to get him s...

I put Sadie through petsmart training and I loved it. It wasn't exactly what I was looking for, but the trainer let me change things up to fit Sadie's needs. I didn't clicker train her because it didn't work for us, but she was as well trained as any other dog in the class. It was great for socializ...

I agree with Allie. It might be an infected gland - I would get your dog to the vet this week to make sure it doesnt absess or anything like that. Better to catch it early than let it fester.

I bought a cow in memory of Sadie - she was my "Brown Cow Spotted Pit Bull".. if only there were really brown spotted cows sold in places, I had to settle for a black/white one for now. lol But I also bought a star with the cow, so I'm going to name a star after Sadie. Then I'll know she'...

The vet called and appologized for his behavior this morning. I told him at point blank that "It's not WHAT you say, its HOW you say it." We talked for a while, he said he was sorry and I told him he should be. I told him he made an already emotional situation a rather tramautic emotional ...

And what sucks the most is that she had to be sent off for rabies testing. I flipped out on the main dr (not my favorite one) because he was soo rude/crass during the whole thing this morning. I wasn't expecting that she would have to be sent off for rabies testing, I figured her rabies shot would h...

Wegobad, this decision is getting harder and harder to keep though. I've had the appointment scheduled for 3 days already, waiting until monday when my mom gets home from an out of town trip. She wanted to see Sadie beforehand and that sort of thing. It's getting harder knowing by this time tomorrow...

I have explained the fight outloud to people, and maybe its in the way I'm explaining it here but the fact of the matter is Sadie has bitten me 3 times within the last year, and attempted for more than just that. Yes, its mainly dog related but a few times that I was remembering while talking to a ...

See, why its safer for Sadie this way? It's not that its easier, its safer. After those quacks I do not trust trainers and behavioralists that why I have been doing things here myself with all of my dogs. I have asked on here before if there were any behavioralists recommended in the state of PA or ...

I have been to those behavioralists he was recommended highly by my veterinarian (but not a veterinarian behavioralist). And the only reputable one in this area didn't slap a prong on her (I was estatic because all the other ones did) and told me point blank that she was aggressive. He didnt know if...

I want to thank you all for understanding and not flaming me about this. I honestly didnt know what to expect when I posted my last decision. Sadie has had a rollercoaster of a life. I just hope I gave her the best I could for these two years and that she will always know that. This weekend is about...
