After a lot of debating in my head and with other pit bull people and a behavioralist I have come to the conclusion that Sadie isn't fixable. I have explained the fight outloud to people, and maybe its in the way I'm explaining it here but the fact of the matter is Sadie has bitten me 3 times within...

And I'll be honest, that yesterday they did not get all of the exercise they needed because of other things happening. Also, since the fire they have been crated and rotated more because of all of the workers coming in and out cleaning, repairing, etc. So that being said, Sadie may have just been ex...

On a typical day - Sadie gets the flirt pole at least twice for 20-30 minutes a day. We play catch/fetch in the yard for about 20 minutes after that, or kick around a soccer ball. She was also out in the yard with the dogs and her and Bogart would run about 20 laps around the yard at full tilt. On t...

BB - Sadie's tolerance of other dogs on a leash is horrible. I have to be able to spot them before she does or else she's off. I have radar, I can hear them before she does. At the vets, I need to schedule around what other dogs/animals will be in the office because then she's a screaming mess. I wa...

This sounds awesome and I would totally drive out to it however, Sadie has pretty decent skills as long as there are no other dogs around. So, if she's highly distracted or what have you - I pretty much don't have her. I kind of push her along or can keep her in a sit/wait down/wait... but her eye c...

Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pennsylvania. I've tried mostly everyone/anyone that I've been able to call or go to. This area is weird with behavioralists for some reason. We have a lot of mediocre trainers galore, but only one behavioralist that I've been able to find. He was recommended by my vet and he d...

There is no tension or looks at each other during the treats on the floor. THere never have been. They dont gobble them up quick, they move around the room rather slowly. They walk right past each other going to different ones and no problem. The energy, or what have you, in the room is very calm an...

First - I know its normal for a dog/pit bull to be DA. However, I don't wont tolerate redirection onto a human no matter what the circumstance. Second - My dogs are not food aggressive, so there has never been any snarking during the "free treats" or meal times. And they aren't even free t...

I figured people would probably look for this post anyway. So, I'm back at this point again. It hasn't really happened since my last post. I've even been able to have all three dogs out with no incident. We treat them while all sitting next to each other, to learn that everyone gets what everyone ge...

Well, when Sadie went through all this our normal schedule was this: For the first 3 days - I walked her leashed from crate, to outside, back to crate. She had a bowl of water in her crate, comfy pillows and blankets and nothing really to do or chew on, unfortunately. After the 3 days - I got her an...

*BIG HUG* I'm sorry you're going through this - I know how scary and crazy this is. Sadie went through something similar and emergency surgery. And our bill was about that much, the only reprieve I got was I was working there and I can make payments. I only wish they would give you that option. All ...

I also just recently switched my dogs to Natural Balance Potato and Duck and they are doing great. One dog has a sensitive stomach, another sensitive skin, and the third just needs better nutrience. Well, after only being on it for a few weeks their skin and coats are starting to look a lot better. ...

To gain access you're going to need to post more information about yourself. Where did you get him from? What got you interested in Pit Bulls? Have you owned any other breeds before? There's a sample post within the Introduction Sticky on the main page of the introduction section if you need help. W...
