Re: collar donation to a rescue...

It's beautiful!

...how does that bee pollen work for you? That is one supplement I've wanted to add for my dogs, but never have.

Re: Anyone in the SEATTLE WA area???

Hmmm.... well I was off base on part of what I said above. The shelter itself has this boy listed as a pit bull mix. http://www.petango.com/Adopt/Dog-Terrier-Pit-Bull-8889072" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; I do not know much about the organization couresy listing him, but I do find i...

Re: Anyone in the SEATTLE WA area???

Courtney, while we do not have space at this time, I will ABSOLUTELY take you up on the offer to check out dogs and do an initial eval. when needed in the future. We have pulled dogs from that shelter before, and it was with the help of volunteers who wanted to help, but no real understanding of the...

Re: collar donation to a rescue...

What about asking Clackamas who they like to use for large breed dog rescues? If they have one in particular they love, maybe donate to them? I'm with Vi - that Mastiff I fostered a long while back ago would have probably fit into a collar that size. That is really large! I love the Blocky Dog colla...

Re: Anyone in the SEATTLE WA area???

As Kirstan mentioned, this group is courtesy listing this dog for the Tri-Cities shelter, which is where the dog is located. He is still listed on the Tri-Cities shelter website, but I'm not sure how often they update. I know someone who volunteers at the shelter - I will ask her if she can get more...

Re: 2 urgent strays in Tacoma, WA

Well if they are ok with other dogs (at least at this puppy stage), and if our board gives me the ok :) we will be able to at least take one. Not sure they need to be perfect with kitties, but I only have a couple of fosters to work with, and one is newer to us, has a cat, and I am uncomfortable wit...

Re: 2 urgent strays in Tacoma, WA

These are some very lovely looking girls! :inlove: Any way we can find out how they would be with a dominant female dog? Or really, just how they would be with other dogs in general? And cats? All of our foster homes have personal dogs, some have cats, and I am wondering if we might be able to find ...

Re: Bay Area homecheck needed - Pescadero

Again, I appreciate your offer to do our homecheck. I ended up being able to get one of the trainers who goes out there weekly to do it for me. So it's done, and application approved! The family meets Andorra early next week so everyone keep good thoughts for her.

Re: GA Sweet Senior Dog, Rose-Owner Died Scheduled to be Eutha

"Last year, the city impounded 8,138 animals — 846 of which were adopted or placed in homes. About 6,330 dogs and cats were euthanized." That is an absolutely unacceptable number. I hope the best for Rose. No dog deserves to spend their final days in an animal shelter, but it just br...

Re: Bay Area homecheck needed - Pescadero

Is it a working sheep ranch where they also train? If so, I've been there several times to instinct test dogs that I have had in rescue and for herding lessons. If it is that place, or even a different place, I'd be willing to go down and do your homecheck. Please feel free to email me at turtledog...
